First photos: Simple Plan played at Calgary Stampede

After over a week of vacation, the whole band reunited once again on Sunday, July 17th, in Calgary, Canada, where together they performed at Calgary Stampede.

Simple Plan record video messages for Australia, Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Fusion camps

When the whole band recently met up in Winnipeg, Canada, before opening for Blink 182, the members of Simple Plan took some time to record a couple of video messages for some of the countries they’ll be touring next plus a special shout-out to Fusion camps.

Canadian newspaper prints a cartoon of Simple Plan

On his Instagram, Jeff published an image of a cartoon posted in a local newspaper (assumingly Journal de Montreal), which discusses Simple Plan’s upcoming show in Sept-Îles, where the band will perform on August 7th.

The cartoon, created by a well-known Canadian caricaturist Métyvié, makes fun of Simple Plan touring everywhere but Canada until now. It depicts the members of Simple Plan being told they are playing in Sept-Îles by a “manager” – the joke behind David’s answer is he was born in Sept-Îles. The English translation of the cartoon would be as follows (thanks Emilie):

“Manager”: OK guys! After Tokyo and Los Angeles, you’ll play here on August 7th!
David: Hm! That sounds familiar!

On July 9th, Simple Plan played a free acoustic set for 99.9 The Point in Fort Collins, Colorado and one of the organisers of the event, 99.9 The Point’s host Jared Goldberg filmed a vlog throughout the whole day, documenting Simple Plan’s visit. In this video, the band members got asked what tattoos each of them has on their body and for the first time David showed his previously talked about inner-lip tattoo, which reads “GRRR” [see in in the video at mark 4:49].

Photo diary from Simple Plan’s tour in Japan

Earlier this year, in the beginning of April, Simple Plan returned to one of their favorite countries – Japan – where they performed at a number of festivals and their own shows. During their stay there, there were followed by the people from Live Nation TV with some disposable cameras, who took some amazing behind the scenes photos of the band in Japan.
