Venue change for Simple Plan’s show in Austria

In just a few weeks Simple Plan will be returning to the old continent, where they will spend a couple more weeks touring on the second leg of their European tour. Nevertheless, a minor change regarding one particular date has just been announced, which may interest those of you, who planned on seeing Simple Plan in Austria.

Simple Plan’s show in Hohenems, Austria, which lies in a close proximity to Austria’s borders with Germany, Switzerland and Liechtenstein, was supposed to take place on May 19th at the local venue called the Event Center. However, it has just been announced that due to a scheduling conflict, the Simple Plan show will be moved to a different venue – Conrad Sohm, which is located in Dornbirn, Austria, a city located near Hohenems. So, if you’re planning to attend the show in Austria this May, make sure to be at the right place. More info about this show can be found here.

Simple Plan premiere new music video for single ‘Singing In The Rain’

Simple Plan just dropped the new music video for the new single from their new album ‘Taking One For The Team’ – for the track called Singing In The Rain. As we already know, while the original version of this song, which appears on their album, includes a collaboration with the rap duo R. City, for yet unknown reasons Simple Plan decided to release the no-rap version of this track as their summer single.

The music video, for which Simple Plan once again used the help of their fans, who were invited to appear in the videoshoot, is inspired by the atmosphere of the 60s and tells a story of the 60s version of Simple Plan getting signed and experiencing various struggles as this bands gets more popular. Once again, the video was directed by Mark Staubach.

This is what the band had to say about this video:

The video is a love letter to one of our favourite movies of all time, “That Thing You Do”. It’s about the exhilarating power that 3 chords, a drum beat and a catchy melody can have on the lives of the people who create it. The video takes you on the magical journey from rehearsing in a garage to playing stadiums and topping the charts and the roller-coaster ride that is the music industry: both exhilarating and extraordinary, heartbreaking and bittersweet.

We had a blast filming this video and we hope that you will enjoy it and that it will make you smile!
