First look at Simple Plan’s festival setlist: setlist from Punkspring

In the past two days, Simple Plan performed at the first festivals of their Taking One For The Team tour, which obviously meant they had to narrow down their regular concert setlist to a festival one, which usually includes up to 10 songs, due to time limitations of festival sets (usually around 45 minutes). The setlist for their PunkSpring appearances from the past weekend has finally been revealed and you can check it out below. It can give us a little sneak peek at which songs will (mostly Canadian) fans get to experience at the upcoming summer festival season:

1. Opinion Overload
2. Jet Lag
3. Jump
4. Boom
5. I’d Do Anything
6. Farewell
7. Summer Paradise
8. Welcome to My Life
9. Shut Up

Jenna McDougall (Tonight Alive): “Simple Plan had a great impact on me as a young teenager”

Jenna McDougall from Tonight Alive, who recently performed alongside Simple Plan during “Jet Lag” at the Tokyo edition of Punkspring posted a very heartfelt message on Instagram with a picture of herself with the band from yesterday. Jenna wrote: “You would not believe the warmth and kindness of these people ❤️ I am bewildered and stunned by you all, onstage and off. Simple Plan had a great impact on me as a young teenager and learning their songs influenced and inspired Tonight Alive’s stage show. You guys continue to kick ass year after year! Thank you for inviting me to sing with you again.”

Tonight in Tokyo, Japan, Simple Plan performed at the final night of the Punkspring festival, and as we’ve been previously informed, they had a little surprise coming up for their local Japanese fans. During their set, the band performed their single ‘Jet Lag’ with Tonight Alive’s Jenna McDougall, which can be seen on the pictures below.

Besides the pictures from today’s Simple Plan show, you will also be able to find a couple of pictures of Simple Plan’s arrival to Tokyo this morning and their backstage time with Jenna:

Simple Plan rehearse “Jet Lag” with Jenna McDougall (Tonight Alive) today

Before their next Punkspring appearance in Tokyo, Japan today, some of the members of Simple Plan got to once again hang out with Jenna McDougall, the lead singer of the Australian band Tonight Alive. You may recall that back in 2011, when Simple Plan toured Australia with Tonight Alive, they used to invite Jenna to sing on “Jet Lag” with them every night.

And as Jeff confirmed on his Instagram, Jenna will be joining Simple Plan tonight and sing “Jet Lag” with them on stage. Check out the following video from Snapchat, in which the guys rehearsed “Jet Lag” with Jenna McDougall earlier today:
