A very interesting brand new video appeared on the internet yesterday, which documents the filming of Simple Plan’s music video for ‘Boom’ from last summer – but from a litle different perspective – from an overhead view. The scene that the video features was one of the final scenes the band shot for the video – with Pierre in the middle of a crowd of hundreds of Simple Plan fans in Montreal.

Last night at 10pm EST, episode 4 of the show Hockey Wives, which is a Canadian documentary series that follows the wives and girlfriends of professional hockey players, aired on the W Network channel.
This episode partially revolved around Maripier Morin, who is a Canadian TV personality, currently engaged to the Canadian hockey player Brandon Prust. You may recall Maripier not only from previously co-hosting a TV show with Patrick Langlois, but most importantly for a cameo appearance in Simple Plan’s music video for ‘I Don’t Wanna Go To Bed’, where she played a drowning girl that Pierre tries to save by giving her mouth-to-mouth.
And it was this music video that was prominently featured in this episode of Hockey Wives. The viewers not only had the chance to see some exclusive behind the scenes footage from the filming of this music video, but also find out some interesting tidbits from the personal lives of both Maripier Morin and Simple Plan. According to this article which recaps the episode, Maripier Morin mentioned on the show that she had actually dated Chuck Comeau from Simple Plan many years ago. It was apparently Maripier was the one to broke off the relationship, stating: “I was not nice when I was young. I broke a couple hearts.” Luckily both of them are currently happy in their own relationships.

About 2 weeks ago in France, the members of Simple Plan took part in yet another photoshoot, done by photographer Tim Tronckoe, who just released one amazing shot from it online.

The line-up for this year’s 30th edition of the Mussel Bed Soiree in Lewisporte, Newfoundland in Canada has just been announced and besides artists like Walk Off The Earth or Autumn Hill, the attendees will also be able to see the headliners Simple Plan perform at this event on August 6th!

Simple Plan posted a brand new picture from the backstage area at te O2 Forum in London, UK, where they played the final show of the 1st leg of their European tour. On this photo, 4 out of 5 of the band members are pictured with the three members of one of their opening bands – Ghost Town, which they had to say goodbye to in London.
