Listen to Jeff’s guitar solo in Punk Rock Factory’s cover of a song from ‘Dear Evan Hansen’ musical

Punk Rock Factory, a South Wales band who grew to fame on the Internet recently by releasing punk rock covers of various songs from musicals such as Encanto, Moana or Frozen (their ‘Let It Go’ cover actually featured Jaret Reddick from Bowling For Soup) released a brand new album on March 31st titled “It’s Just A Stage We’re Going Through”.

The album features covers of songs from musicals such as Hamilton, Grease, Mamma Mia… and also Dear Evan Hansen. From the last mentioned musical, Dear Evan Hansen, the group chose to cover the song ‘Waving Through a Window’ and it is actually the only song on the album to have a guest feature – and that is no-one other but Jeff Stinco from Simple Plan, who will stun you in the song with a stellar guitar solo. Don’t worry, you won’t miss it!

Simple Plan to be featured on Busted’s 20th anniversary comeback album

The British pop punk band Busted, which grew to fame in the early 00s and are famous for hits like the original song “Year 3000”, has announced their comeback yesterday by revealing a massive UK tour in September alongside the release of an album celebrating their 20th anniversary.

This album will be out later this year and it will feature reworks of their old hits alongside many popular musical guests. The first single, “Loser Kid 2.0” (a rework of their original song ‘Loser Kid’ from 2002) will be released on April 14th and it will be feature none other but Simple Plan! You can already pre-save this song on your favorite streaming platform.

Besides Simple Plan, this album should also feature other guests such as All Time Low or McFly.

Simple Plan release limited crystal clear vinyl for No Pads’ 21st anniversary

To celebrate the 21st anniversary of the release of their debut album No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls (which will happen on March 19th) as well as the 75th anniversary of their former record label Atlantic Records, Simple Plan will be releasing a brand new limited edition crystal clear vinyl. A definite must-have for any Simple Plan collector!

The tracklist of the vinyl includes all 12 songs from the No Pads record with no bonus songs.

The vinyl is available for pre-order on the Atlantic website. Note: As of right now, the item is unavailable and it is unclear whether it’s sold out yet or more will be printed.

This is not the first time No Pads has been released on a vinyl: the record has been available on a regular black vinyl for a few years now. Besides no Pads, all of their other records have previously been released on vinyl with the exception of Still Not Getting Any.

First ever setlist for Simple Plan’s Harder Than It Looks Tour

After a winter break Simple Plan have finally emerged back on stage – and for the first time since the pandemic they were finally allowed to tour South East Asia, where they’re playing a couple of festivals as well as a few headlining shows.

Now what’s so special about this tour is that this is in fact the very first solo headlining tour that Simple Plan have done for their new album Harder Than It Looks. Uptil now, since the release of the record they have only done co-headlining (with Sum 41 in the U.S.) or supporting tours (with Sum 41 in Europe and with The Offspring in Canada), meaning the shows weren’t focused on the new album and they weren’t as long as a headlining show would be.

After four full headlining shows played on this South East Asian tour (if we don’t count festivals), we can finally get a better look at what the Harder Than It Looks setlist looks like and what it could look like for possible other future shows. First things first, there is no one stable setlist for each concert, as SP try to switch things up with every show (kudos!). But overall the main structure remains the same – each of their album gets fairly the same amount of songs (3-5) with the exception of the self-titled one and TOFTT (only 1 each) and then there’s a few extra covers and a b-side song. The setlist tends to be 18 to 21 songs long, depending on each show.

Below you can check out the basic structure of the Harder Than It Looks setlist, based on the shows in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines:
