PHOTO: David spotted at Steve’s Music Store

Now here’s something we don’t get to see every day: an update on David’s whereabouts! A couple days ago, David Desrosiers once again paid a visit to Steve’s Music Store, where he took a picture with the NHL referee Dave Jackson and Ben Smith, the drummer for the band Heart (big thanks to Anna for letting me know). Check it out in the gallery:

David to perform alongside Chuck and Pierre at Reset’s reunion

Simple Plan have recently confirmed on their Facebook and Twitter that at the upcoming Reset’s original line-up reunion at Amnesia Rockfest in June, the already confirmed members of Simple Plan who used to be in Reset – Chuck and Pierre – will also welcome on stage at this reunion another one of their bandmates – David Desrosiers.

This is very big news as this will probably be the first time that Chuck, Pierre and David will play Reset songs together, as if you recall the history of this band that preceeded Simple Plan, David replaced Pierre after Pierre left Reset (at the time when Chuck had already not been in the band for months), so these three musicians have never played these songs live together in this formation.

The other confirmed Reset member who is confirmed to perform with them is Phil Jolicoeur (guitar/vocals).

Update: It has been confirmed that Jean Sebastien “JS” Bolieu, the only other original member of Reset, won’t be present at this reunion and David will be playing bass for Reset.

PHOTOS: Jeff’s and David’s motorcycle roadtrip

Since Jeff recently finally obtained his motorcycle licence, he decided to celebrate it with a long bike ride through the Valley of Fire in Nevada – and he took another fellow motorcycle lover with him – his bandmate David.

David Desrosiers participates in the “Chaîne de forces” campaign

In 2013 a very interesting project started in the area of Matane, a city located in the provice of Quebec, Canada, called “Chaîne de forces” (“A Chain of Strength”) in which a parchment of words encouraging strength and positivity in life is being handed from one person to another, while each of them is adding more of his own advice and words of encouragement.

In this year’s edition of “Chaîne de forces”, David Desrosiers from Simple Plan, who is originally from Matane, was chosen to start the chain off with a video message, in which he symbolically handed over the parchment to the first recipient – Dennis Angers – a teacher at Polyvalente De Matane, David’s former high school.

You can see the video of David’s message by clicking on the image below, and if you’re not fluent in French, there is also an English translation of David’s message here under the video (thanks to Sab):

“Hello, I’m David!

I’m honored to start the “Forces en nous” (Strengths in us) chain. We all have strengths, we all have weaknesses as well. But it’s important to focus on the positive, on the strengths that everyone has, our good qualities.

I’d like to pass the first parchment to Dennis Angers because I think his force is the way he is able to captivate people, how he can make people listening to him and not thinking at anything else when he is telling a story. I think that it is an amazing strength. So, Dennis, I pass you the first parchment and it’s a big honor to start this chain.”

PHOTO: David spotted at Salon Moto de Montreal

It’s been apparent for the past couple of months (or rather years) that David Desrosiers has gotten himself a new obsession – motorbikes. After a couple of trips to the US on his motorcycle, he is currently back in Montreal, where he was spotted yesterday by a fan (thanks CSP for the info) attending the “Salon Moto de Montreal” event, which is a motorcycle exhibition.
