David at the unveiling of La Gibelotte festival’s program

Yesterday, on May 15th, the organisers of the upcoming festival La Gibelotte that will take place this July in Sorel-Tracy, Canada, held a press conference, where they presented the program of this year’s edition of the festival. The press conference was attended by about one hundred people and it took place in the lobby of Marché Richelieu

And as Simple Plan are one of the acts to play there this year (on July 5th – as announced a couple weeks ago), David Desrosiers attended this press conference as a representative of Simple Plan.

Check out the following three pictures from this event where David can be seen in the centre of the group:

PHOTO: David in South Africa

As you know, David is currently spending his time-off in South Africa, from where a picture of him recently appeared on Instagram. Check it out by clicking on the image below:

Photos from Seb’s recording sessions

The guys keep on enjoying their longest time off in months – and while David finally let the fans know that he is actually back in South Africa right now, where he hasn’t been since 2006 when SP played there – Sebastien is still working on more music – currently with Wilfred Le Bouthillier, a fellow Canadian singer. And you can now check out some of the pictures from their recording session in the gallery:

Seb’s brother Jay also posted a little Vine video from yesterday’s recording:

FLASHBACK: David on stage with Paramore (2005)

Back in fall 2005, Simple Plan toured the United States and tagged a pretty small (at-the-time) band from Tennessee along with them. That band was called Paramore – at the time consisted of teenagers, now one of the biggest bands out there.

During the tour, as you can read from Hayley’s quote about SP, David befriended the band and helped them gain a lot more self-confidence. Every night he also performed with Paramore on stage during their song “Whoa!” (as you can see on the video here). I managed to find quite a lot of old pictures of David performing with Paramore at a couple of the US dates, which you can now all check out in the gallery:
