New Simple Plan album to feature collaborations!

Two days ago, Jeff revealed a pretty surprising news on his Twitter: “Tomorrow, we’re gonna have a really special visitor at the studio. I know, I’m a tease but i can’t say who it is yet.” And as you will find out in the translated article below, Simple Plan are really planning special collaborations featured on the new album.

If it’s a singer type-of collaboration, it would be the second Simple Plan album to include voices of other people than the Simple Plan members: you could have noticed few featurings on SP’s debut album “No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls”, where Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus does vocals on “I’d Do Anything” and the voice of Joel Madden from Good Charlotte can be heard on “You Don’t Mean Anything”.

Check out the whole article (which has been posted on Cyberpresse.ca) revealing the news about collaborations on the upcoming album below:

New plans for Simple Plan

This exclusive photo of Chuck Comeau, Pierre Bouvier, Jeff Stinco was taken two days ago in the recording studio in Vancouver. The five members of Simple Plan are currently putting the finishing touches on their fourth album, which is due early 2011.

Chuck (drummer) told me that the group had not yet found the title for this album but he told me anyway, exclusively, some song-titles that you can find on this new album: You Suck at Love, Astronaut and This Song Saved My Life. To pique your curiosity even more, you should know that Simple Plan will welcome special guests and will present surprising collaborations. Before the release of the album, the band’s fans will have the chance to hear excerpts of the record on November 14th, while the group will be giving an acoustic concert at Club Sportif MAA on Peel Street in Montreal to benefit their Simple Plan Foundation. The tickets are $100 per person. The event is a brunch for the whole family, and certainly for many, a concert that is priceless!

Who would YOU like to be featured on Simple Plan’s upcoming album?

Fans to be a part of This Song Saved My Life!

The song This Song Saved My Life is probably going to be the most fans-related song off the whole new Simple Plan album. Literally. Not only did fans participate in the writing process of the song’s lyrics – by sending the guys their stories – but now the voices of the fans will be heard on the song itself!

Now not only the SP Crew members but also the rest of the fans had the opportunity to be a part of the recording process!

T-Rex interview reveals another song-title!

You may remember one of the latest vlogs, in which we got to hear a part of one of the first recorded songs – although the title was “beeped out” from Pierre’s speech at the beginning of the vlog.

Many of you have correctly guessed (by reading Pierre’s lips) that the title of the song is “I Can’t Keep My Hands Off Of You” – and this title was confirmed by Jeff in the next interview, where (along with Sebastien) the boys are talking about the T-Rex pedals they are using for the recording.

Make sure to wait till the very end of the video, where you can hear a part of the song:

Jeff about VOX AC30 amplifiers

On VOX Amplifiers’ YouTube channel appeared a new interview with Jeff from Simple Plan, which was taken few days ago at the Van Howes studios in Vancouver, where Simple Plan are currently recording their upcoming album. In the interview Jeff talks about using the VOX AC30 amplifiers and also how the new album should sound like. Check out this interesting video below:

Simple Plan Foundation’s benefit lunch

For the third year already, the Simple Plan Foundation is organising their annual benefit event (you may remember the SPF brunch from 2008 and the SPF show from 2009) – this year it’s a benefit lunch called “Taste Of Montreal”, which will be preceded by official announcements of the new foundation’s donations for 2010-2011.

A part of the benefit, which will take place on November 14th 2010 at noon, will also be meeting the band Simple Plan, an acoustic SP concert, auction and most importantly an exclusive preview of the upcoming Simple Plan album!

So if you’ll be hanging around Montreal, Canada at that time and would like to attend this event, you can order your ticket for $100 on Simple Plan Foundation‘s website.
