All the members of Simple Plan got back together yesterday evening to rehearse their new (and old) music for their upcoming tour which starts in just 5 days!

Yesterday, on July 1st 2015 at 9:56am, Simple Plan’s drummer Chuck Comeau and his wife Jacquelin finally welcomed their first-born child – son London Alexander Comeau. The boy weighed 7 lbs and 14 oz.
Chuck took to Instagram to share his joy over his first baby: “After 49 hours in the hospital, we were finally able to meet him and it was absolutely magical. I can’t wait for all the crazy adventures we’ll have together!”

The annual charity golf tournament organised by the Omnium Gervais Talbot charity (founded by two Canadian hockey players Max Talbot and Bruno Gervais), took place once again at the St-Hyacinthe golf club in St-Hyacinthe, QC, Canada yesterday.
And since Omnium Gervais Talbot works closely with the Simple Plan Foundation, it was a given that some members of Simple Plan – namely David and Seb – would once again appear at this year’s event. Besides them, Simple Plan’s former webmaster/merch guy/cameraman Patrick Langlois and also David’s father were also in the attendance.

While the guys have finished the official L.A. studio sessions weeks ago, they clearly still aren’t done with recording. As the band’s lead guitarist Jeff Stinco just revealed on Twitter, the members who are currently in Canada – him, Sebastien and David – got together today to record the bed tracks for a special project with Pierre’s vocals coming soon. In particular, Jeff mentioned the word “soundtrack” in the following tweet.

It has been quite a while since Simple Plan have graced the pages of any U.S. magazine, so naturally their most recent appearance in the Alternative Press magazine is a big deal. Simple Plan are going to be featured in the commemorative issue for the upcoming Alternative Press Music Awards (APMAS), where they are nominated in the category Artist Philantropic Award [for which you can still VOTE HERE]. Their nomination for this award is also the reason why they are featured in the August issue of Alternative Press, that is coming out on July 2nd.
