Chuck practices with Rian Dawson’s (All Time Low) drumkit

In order to get ready for the upcoming Reset reunion that is happening this coming Friday at Amnesia Rockfest, Chuck decided to practice the songs he wrote as a teenager for Reset. But since his drums weren’t available where he was, he asked his friend Rian Dawson, the drummer for All Time Low, to borrow his drumkit for the practice.

In his latest Instagram post in which he captured himself with Rian’s drumkit, he also included a little note for Rian:

Thank you Rian Dawson, for letting me borrow your drumkit to get a little practice in for the Rockfest Reset reunion show next week. You’re a great friend! Sorry but I think I got a little wet and sweaty in your drum room! Hope you don’t mind! I’ll clean everything up. Love. Chuck.

Exclusive new pictures and videos of Simple Plan from Flink

Thanks to CSP, who found out about a brand new website called Flink, where writers can share their stories about various personalities, we’ve discovered a number of never seen before pictures of Simple Plan, due to the stories written by Julia Wallace on this website – see the page here.

The pictures included in these stories feature shots of the band from their early days up till the year 2012. I tried sorting some of these pictures into the proper albums, so you can now check out the gallery because many pictures have been added to the following albums: Centraide photoshoot from 2011 (finally a proper HQ picture from the “naked” photoshoot), Kerrang Awards 2011, backstage from Calgary Stampede (2012), Live 8 (2005), from MTV TRL Italy (2006), red carpet from MMVA 2006, Chuck and Seb visiting children in hospitals during Xmas 2011 and from the SPF benefit event with OSM (2011).

The rest of the pictures from the Flink page can be found here:

I definitely recommend checking out the whole Flink page, as not only it mentions SimplePlan.cz in one of the stories, but it also includes a number of never seen before videos of the band from backstage and also for example the behind the scenes of the This Song Saved My Life video shoot.

PHOTOS: Sebastien at Garage à musique

As announced earlier, the day before his birthday Sebastien from Simple Plan paid a visit to the new location of the renovated Garage à musique project organised by the Dr. Julien Foundation. At this event Sebastien celebrated the re-opening of the project by joining some of the musicians on stage. Check out some of the first photos from this event in the gallery:

Update: You can now also check out a video from this event, posted by LaPresse.ca, which features a clip from the musical performances – including Sebastien, who with fellow musicians performed Survivor’s “Eye Of The Tiger”. The video also includes a short (French) interview with Seb:

PHOTOSHOOT: Jeff and his partners in new “Laurea and Lorbeer” restaurant project

In a brand new interview for the server Eater.com, Jeff Stinco along with his two business partners: Eric Lafrancois and Cindy Simard shared some new information about their joint project: the reestablishment of the former Laurier BBQ restaurant, which the trio will be – under the name Laurea and Lorbeer dividing into two places: Lorbeer, a pub, which will be offering beer from Stinco’s and Lefrancois’ West Shefford brewery, and Laurea, a restaurant led by chef Hakim Chajar. The first customers should be able to enjoy this interesting new project around June/July, when the owners plan on opening it for the general public.

If you’re interested in the whole interview with Jeff, Eric and Cindy, make sure to check it out here. Besides the interview, I definitely recommend checking out the brand new photoshoot of this trio, taken by Vladimir Antaki (Artistic Agitator) last Friday:
