Jeff and Seb attend a bullying prevention symposium
Around 200 stakeholders took part in the “Social Emotional Learning & Bullying Prevention symposium”, held by the Peace Grantmakers Network yesterday in Montreal. The goal of this symposium was to discuss the crucial problem of bullying and try to find solutions to eliminate it.
As the Simple Plan Foundation is one of the donators of the Peace Grantmakers Network and one of its goals is also to stop bullying, two members of Simple Plan – Jeff Stinco and Sebastien Lefebvre – were also among the attendees of the event yesterday.
“There have been cases of quite tragic admirers of ours, who have had big problems with bullying, who have suffered a lot of violence at school, and we talk quite openly about this problem. So, instead of staying silent, we try to stand up and just go and help them in some way.” – Jeff Stinco [source: canoe.ca]

Earlier today, Canadian actor Dan Aykroyd (who you may remember from “Ghostbusters”) was in Montreal to promote his brand new vodka, which he also presented at Jeff’s new bar Rufus Rockhead and later on had lunch at the next door’s Jeff’s restaurant Shinji. Naturally, Jeff took the opportunity to pose for a picture with Mr. Aykroyd and you now can check two of them out in the gallery:

Pierre and Chuck continue writing songs for 5th album
After a couple weeks of a little time off, Pierre and Chuck got together again yesterday to continue working on the songwriting process for the next Simple Plan album. Chuck even shared a picture of Pierre with a guitar:
The song-writing process has only begun a few months ago and the guys already have about a dozen songs written. All the currently known facts about this upcoming – fifth – Simple Plan studio album are available in this section.
