A couple weeks back, Chuck along with Simple Plan’s manager Eric Lawrence attended the Canadian Music Week, where they both spoke at two panels and discussed their views on the current music industry. Thanks to Jenny, here are a couple more pictures from this event:
Because of the just released interview with Simple Plan from the backstage of the PunkSpring festival that aired on a local TV in Japan, we now have here a couple of new screencaps from it, including a couple of new shots of Simple Plan with the members of One Ok Rock, most notably with Taka, who sings of the Japanese version of Summer Paradise.

While we currently don’t have any news about Pierre and David (although you can probably imagine what Pierre does on his days off), the rest of the band does a great job at keeping us updated on their lives through Twitter while they are currently not on tour. So if you don’t follow them on social media, here’s a little recap on what the guys are currently up to:
In the past couple of days, Jeff’s been busy stuyding for his motorcycle exam while Sebastien spent his free time working on some more music with his brother Jay and artists like Wilfred LeBouthillier, Jaren Cerf or Andee Leclerc – all that in Montreal. Chuck on the other hand is currently in the USA, where he attended a hockey match with Fred in LA on Sunday and on Monday he took a trip to Santa Monica to do some touristy stuff.

But have no worries! Simple Plan will be back on tour in just a couple of weeks when they’ll be returning to Europe for 2 headlining shows and a couple festivals. You can check out all the upcoming dates here.
Also, I am currently working on a couple of sections that I want to add on SimplePlan.cz, some of which are already up but still unfinished (if you do some digging through all the sections, I’m sure you can find the new stuff :P), but as soon as they are all done, I will let you know through Facebook and Twitter.
Back in fall 2005, Simple Plan toured the United States and tagged a pretty small (at-the-time) band from Tennessee along with them. That band was called Paramore – at the time consisted of teenagers, now one of the biggest bands out there.
During the tour, as you can read from Hayley’s quote about SP, David befriended the band and helped them gain a lot more self-confidence. Every night he also performed with Paramore on stage during their song “Whoa!” (as you can see on the video here). I managed to find quite a lot of old pictures of David performing with Paramore at a couple of the US dates, which you can now all check out in the gallery:
