Signing session at Salon International du Livre de Quebec

Yesterday afternoon, the members of Simple Plan headed to Quebec City where they attended another autograph session for their new book Simple Plan: The Official Story – this time at the Salon International du Livre de Quebec (The International book fair in Quebec) along with the author of the book – Kathleen Lavoie.

On the way to the signing, Chuck posted a video of himself, Seb, Pierre and Sim driving to Quebec City – which you can watch here:

Later during the autograph session, Chuck also posted this video of the crowd and also one of the boys from Simple Plan at the signing panel:

And if you’re interested in the pictures from the signing session, make sure to visit the gallery for the few that have already been uploaded there:

Simple Plan at Desjardins contest’s closing ceremony

Last night all members of Simple Plan attended the closing ceremony of the Desjardins and Ma Zone D contest “On Stage with Simple Plan and Desjardins” where the winner – Élie Gagné – was announced. Check out some of the first pictures of SP from last night in the gallery:

Since Simple Plan played an acoustic set on stage, Chuck didn’t have his hands full and could take pictures and videos while his bandmates were busy playing. Here you can check out his video from before the show and here is his video of the band playing Summer Paradise acoustically.

And if you want to check out a video of Summer Paradise from another point of view, here’s a video taken by one of the fans in te audience:

MKTO working with Chuck Comeau in the studio!

Just because Simple Plan have a little time off right now, doesn’t mean they’re not working. For example Chuck spent last day not only hanging out with the band MKTO, but according to the band’s tweet, they also have a collaboration in works with him – most probably writing a song together.

MKTO is a two-piece California based band that consists of Tony Oller and Malcolm Kelley – both previously actors, most notably Malcolm, who played the mysterious Walt in the TV show LOST. The band has recently been on the spotlight because of their song for their first single “Thank You” which has gone viral on the Internet (make sure to check out the music video – and if you’re a fan of LOST, look for all the references!)

One of the reasons why this collaboration may have even started in the first place is that MKTO already have one connection with Simple Plan – they wrote “Thank You” with Emanuel Kiriakou and Evan “Kidd” Bogart, who have also been writing with Simple Plan on their new material.

You can check out more pictures of Chuck hanging out with the guys from MKTO and also with Joey from New Kids On The Block yesterday in the gallery.
