Day off in Tokyo, Japan

Today, the guys from Simple Plan had a day off in the middle of their little Japanese tour and the guys mostly spent it with shopping, doing touristy stuff and then with a dinner at a Tokyo restaurant.

Below you can check out some of the new Vine videos that the guys sent out through Twitter:

And below is a link to the new album in the gallery where you can see some of the pictures of the guys from today:

Punkspring 2013: Tokyo, Japan

Simple Plan finished their appearance at the Punkspring festival in Japan today with a bang in Tokyo! Not only they yet again performed Can’t Keep My Hands Off You with Rivers Cuomo, but the fans who attended the show could also witness for the first time ever a live performance of the Japanese version of “Summer Paradise” with Taka from ONE OK ROCK.

Check out the first awesome pictures from this show in the gallery:

Simple Plan backstage in Tokyo, Japan

Simple Plan are already in the middle of their Japanese tour and today they finally arrived to Tokyo, Japan, where they are playing their third show at PunkSpring festival later today. The guys have already mentioned that they have some special surprises in store for the show in Tokyo – one of which being the live collaboration with Taka from ONE OK ROCK, who was recently featured on the Japanese version of Summer Paradise and who’s band is also playing at Punkspring today.

The guys from Simple Plan also finally hopped onto the bandwagon called Vine which is a new app that allows you to share short videoclips through your mobile phone. Chuck posted the first one today when the boys were on their way to Tokyo:

Vine is currently very popular in the community of bands, so there’s no wonder that we can spot the members of SP also on other band’s Vine videos. The one below was created by Sugarcult’s lead guitarist Marko DeSanti and shows you the backstage of Punkspring in Tokyo, Japan:

We also already have a bunch of pictures from today – from SP’s arrival to Tokyo and from backstage where the guys yet again got to hang out with not just a bunch of bands but surprisingly also with Tom – who those of you from the MySpace generation will remember as the only friend we all had in common:

Simple Plan performed Can’t Keep My Hands Off You live with Rivers Cuomo (Weezer)!

Almost two years after the song “Can’t Keep My Hands Off You” came out as a promotional single (March 31st 2011), Simple Plan finally had the chance to perform it live with Rivers Cuomo from Weezer, who is featured on the studio version of the track and also co-wrote the song with Pierre and Chuck.

Simple Plan are currently in Japan, where they just made their first appearance at the Punkspring festival in Nagoya, and who’s line-up among other bands also includes Weezer. So it was only fitting for the guys from Simple Plan to invite Rivers, Weezer’s lead singer, to sing Can’t Keep My Hands Off You with them live and therefore fullfilling the boys’ lifelong dream – to share a stage with one of their childhood heroes.

You can now check out the first pictures from this live collaboration with Rivers Cuomo in the gallery and also from the rest of the Simple Plan show.

Keep checking back for more photos and videos from this performance.
