Today in the early afternoon, Simple Plan flew from Teresina to Fortaleza, Brazil, where they were once again greeted by a crowd of enthusiastic local fans.

According to the info that I got from Lara, Simple Plan (unlike Evanescence for example, whose members apparently tried to get out of the airport as fast as they could) told their security (who were trying to keep the fans away) to back off and let everyone talk to them. They then spent a couple minutes hanging out with the fans, signing, taking pictures etc.

In Fortaleza, Simple Plan will be performing tomorrow at the Ceará Music festival, alongside artists like the forementioned Evanescence, or also The Used. But for now, today, the band has a day off and considering they have been hanging around the pool just behind the venue this afternoon, it is possible the band will go and check out some of the acts of today’s first day of the festival, which features Pitbull (who, too performed at the Vibe Sound festival yesterday) or Mick Hucknall from Simply Red.
