PHOTOS: Simple Plan at Los 40 Principales

Last night Simple Plan performed for a Mexican radio station called Los 40 Principales (located in Mexico City, Mexico), which was also streamed live on the radio and fans from all around the world were able to listen to it. In case you missed it, I will have the audio of the show available for you later today, so stay tuned for that!

The guys played a set of 7 songs that included: Shut Up!, Can’t Keep My Hands Off You, Your Love Is A Lie, Jet Lag, Summer Paradise, Welcome To My Life and I’d Do Anything.

The boys are back on the road, starting their tour across Latin America in Mexico. The guys arrived on Monday and already on Tuesday they had a day full of interviews and even one radio performance in Mexico City.

New photos from the recording of “The Hockey Theme”

If you’ve been around for the past 4 years, then you perhaps remember that in fall of 2008, Simple Plan became the first in a series of Canadian artists who would re-record a special rendition of the very popular “The Hockey Theme” song (first released in 1968), which is sometimes refered to as “the second Canadian anthem”. Simple Plan’s version of this song was then later used in TSN and RDS broadcasts during intermissions at various points throughout the NHL season.

Christina Parie, Australian singer who recently toured with Simple Plan on their Australian tour along with We The Kings, and who sang the female vocals in Jet Lag with them, was in Los Angeles in August, where she also met up with Pierre and Chuck from Simple Plan for a little songwriting session. Today she finally released one picture from this day and you can check it out below:

Simple Plan present a $28 000 check to Kids Help Phone

Just a couple hours ago, Bluenotes, the fashion company, posted the picture of Simple Plan that you can see on the left (or in its original size in the gallery) on their Instagram and Facebook page, in which the band can be seen presenting a check to Kids Help Phone.

In their post, Bluenotes thanked everyone who had bought the limited edition “I Got A Heart On For You” t-shirts.

Thanks to these charitable t-shirts that Simple Plan and Bluenotes helpted to create and promote, over $28 000 was raised to support Kids Help Phone, an organisation that provides a 24-hour youth counselling service, providing anonymous, confidential and professional help and support to young people in Canada both in English and in French.
