Simple Plan’s evening performance at Canada Day

On Sunday evening, Simple Plan played at Canada Day again – this time around at the Evening show, where they played a little bit longer set than at the Noon show. The public was able to enjoy 6 of their songs: Shut Up!, Can’t Keep My Hands Off You, Summer Paradise, Jet Lag (feat. Marie-Mai), Welcome To My Life and I’d Do Anything.

Photos of Simple Plan’s first show at Canada Day

At about 1pm (local time) today, Simple Plan performed as the closing act during the Noon show at the celebrations of Canada Day at the Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Canada. The guys pumped up the crowd of 10 000 people (and thousands of people watching the show online) with two songs: Addicted from their first album and Summer Paradise from their last and were said to be the most high energy performers of the day so far.

Simple Plan will also be playing at the Evening show later tonight at Canada Day, with the live stream again available here (Simple Plan will be performing at 8pm EST). This time around, the band should be playing 7 songs (thx Janie for the info)- including Jet Lag featuring Marie-Mai.

Simple Plan are attending Canada Day in Canada’s capital city Ottawa today and will be performing both during the Noon Show (12pm to 1:30pm EST) and also the Evening show (7:30pm to 10pm). Both of the shows should be available for online streaming HERE.

Simple Plan’s soundcheck before Canada Day

For almost two days now, all the members of Simple Plan have been back home in Canada, where they didn’t even manage to get much rest before their next performance because already tonight, they are playing in Ottawa at the celebrations of today’s Canada Day.

Yesterday in the afternoon, the guys arrived at the site of the Canada Day celebrations, where they started with a soundcheck for the big day in front of quite a lot of people and also revealed how they’ve embellished the boxes behind them on stage (see picture on top left). During the soundcheck, the band has also been joined by Marie-Mai, who’s taking part in the celebrations as well, and who will be singing Jet Lag with them in Franch tonight.
