Today in Melbourne, Simple Plan played their second show of their Australian tour. You can now check out a first couple of pictures from the show and also one picture from the backstage area, where Christina Parie enjoyed lunch today with David Desrosiers from Simple Plan and Travis Clark from We The Kings:
Simple Plan’s first stop in Australia was Sydney today on June 1st. The guys played for a sold-out arena with the same setlist as in Europe and from all the reactions I’ve seen on Twitter, it seemed to have been a really great show.
To make the night even more special for the audience, the band invited a local singer Christina Parie to join them on stage and sing Jet Lag with them. Christina was very excited about this experience and after her performance with Simple Plan, she called it “the BEST night of her life to date”.

A sixteen-year-old singer Christina Parie, who was one of the top finalists in the Australian version of the X Factor, met one of her favourite bands of all time today – Simple Plan. The band chose her to be the band’s Australian “Natasha Bedingfield” – a female singer who will be accompanying the band during Jet Lag live on stage during their Australian tour – after seeing her cover of Jet Lag on YouTube.

Hearts of the fans who consider themselves both in the Simple Plan and the Good Charlotte fandom, got definitely on after seeing that during tonight, some of the members of these two bands will meet again.
Joel Madden (the lead singer of Good Charlotte) has been invited by his old friends from Simple Plan, for who he did some vocals on their track “You Don’t Mean Anything” many many years ago, to attend their concert in Sydney tonight, on June 1st. And let’s be honest – Simple Plan really do need a more up-to-date picture with Joel.
Mr. Madden has been residing in Australia for a while now, because of his new position as one of the main judges in the Australian version of the sining competition The Voice. And it was just The Voice, who interviewed three members of Simple Plan – Pierre, Jeff and David – today and took the new picture that you can see below. After Joel saw that his buddies were being interviewed for his show, he took to Twitter to reply to The Voice with the following message: “You guys should come Monday night!! Let them play on the show :)”
As of right now, Simple Plan do not have any official plans for Monday (June 4th), so there is a chance that their guest performance on The Voice might really happen. Let’s wait and see.
At about six in the morning of the local time, Simple Plan landed in australia, where they will be touring mostly the east coast for the next three weeks.
The first thing that David did after he got to Sydney, was to pay a visit to an Australian hairdresser Brad Ngata and have him fix his bangs and dye his hair a little bit – black of course. Check out the picture of Brad Ngata with David and his new bangs below:
