Concert in Barcelona and its crazy audience

Simple Plan played their second show in Spain last night – in Barcelona. And according to both the band and the audience, it was a night to remember. Just before the show, during the soundcheck for the members of their fanclub, Simple Plan performed on stage with a nine-year-old girl, who sang Jet Lag with them.

The setlist of the show in Barcelona was the same as in Madrid, meaning only the acoustic version of Crazy is the latest addition to it. You can check out the whole current setlist here – it looks like Simple Plan will be holding on to it throughout the whole tour, but in case it slightly changes, I will let you know on Facebook or Twitteru.

Now, how about some scoops from the show? Thanks to Nathalie, we’ve learned that apparently during the show, David (as always) jumped into the crowd – only this time a bit too far than he probably intended – even Sean had troubles getting him out of the hands of the greedy fans. David even managed to lose a shoe a Pierre lost his battery pack – and since the crowd wasn’t willing to give their stuff back to them, the band had to bribe them with backstage passes.

Below you can check out the links to the beautiful pictures from the show in Barcelona and also some more added to the album from Madrid:

Spanish fans surprised Simple Plan in Madrid

It looks like the trend that we’ve probably started here in the Czech Republic back in 2008 when we held the “Thank You” signs above our heads, is spreading throughout the whole world. Since then, Simple Plan were able to see “Astronaut” signs in Poland last year and a day after that (this time) heart-shaped “Thank You” signs in the Czech Republic again.

Yesterday, the fans in Spain also hopped on the bandwagon and surprised Simple Plan in their capital city, Madrid, this way also. After Simple Plan started playing This Song Saved My Life most of the people in the venue pulled out huge “Simple Plan saved my life” signs and made the members of the band very moved by what a large group of fans can manage to organise. On the right side of this post, you can check out a picture of it taken by Simple Plan’s drum tech Sean.

Also, in the gallery you can already view a first few pictures (mostly low quality though) from the show in Madrid and also a couple of brand new official photos from the set of the videoshoot for Summer Paradise, which Simple Plan published on their website today:

First show of the European tour: Lisbon, Portugal

Yesterday, Simple Plan kicked off their European tour with a show in Lisbon, Portugal, where they introduced themselves to the local fans for the very first time. The first hour of the show was used by the American band We The Kings (without Charles Trippy – but he will be joining the tour at the end of March) to warm the audience up and then at about 9pm local time, Simple Plan hit the stage.

The setlist of the show hasn’t changed much from what we got used to during the Canadian tour, but still there are a few changes. You can check out the whole updated setlist in its section. According to both the fans and the band, the show was a huge success.

Now finally, below you can check out a whole lot of photos from last night and also photos from the city of Lisbon where in the last couple of days, the fans were able to spot the band members of many places:

Simple Plan also played their “new” medley of Moves Like Jagger/Dynamite/Sexy And I Know It covers on the European continent for the first time. Check out a part of it in the video below:

Simple Plan back in Europe!

During yesterday (and despite a few delays and lost luggage) all members of Simple Plan and their technical crew have arrived in Europe where they will be spending the next 2 months touring the continent. The first city on the list is Lisbon, Portugal, where Simple Plan will be playing for the first time ever.

Yesterday, after their arrival Seb, Pierre and Chuck decided to go and have a look at the town and do all the tourist stuff there, including taking lots of pictures which they they posted on Twitter.

And today, the boys went back to work: starting with a few interviews with the local media. Below you can check out a picture of Pierre and Jeff being interviewed by Everything Is New TV:

Pierre at Sean Paul’s party at PRIVA club in Barbados

During Simple Plan’s stay in Barbados, where they were shooting their music video for Summer Paradise, Sean Paul hosted a party in a local nightclub called PRIVA this Tuesday, March 6th. Pierre Bouvier from Simple Plan and his girlfriend Lachelle Farrar showed up at the party as well and below you can check out some awesome black & white pictures from the event:
