First single Jet Lag to premiere next week!

Simple Plan have finally confirmed to Alter The Press which song will be their official first single: it will be Jet Lag, a song that the guys shot a video for just a few days ago and to which we already know the lyrics for.

The website has also confirmed the rumours that the song will be indeed featuring the British singer Natasha Bedingfield.

The single itself is set to premiere next week on April 26th.

And thanks to our colleagues at SPB here is the official cover art for the first single Jet Lag off the new Simple Plan record. What are your thoughts on it?

The adventures of Mr. Bouvier

Let’s have a little rest from all the recent official updates and let’s take a look at what the lead singer of Simple Plan, Pierre Bouvier, has been up to lately. Even though he has been pretty busy with all the stuff that’s going on with his band, he made some time to head back to California for a while and meet up with his tattoo artist, Aaron Della Vedova (who has already worked on some of Pierre’s previous tattoes) so that Aaron could continue working on Pierre’s next tattoo.

According to the video, that was posted on Guru Tattoo’s (Aaron’s tattoo shop) Facebook page, you can see it’s actually an octopus tattoo, which spreads around Pierre’s whole right leg.

As of this moment, (or at least according to what we’ve been able to spot) Pierre currently has tattoes on his ankle, arm, side of stomach and now on his leg. You can check out the full size of the pictures of Pierre’s new tattoo (on the right) in our gallery.

And we’re gonna stick with Pierre for another while: it’s not been very long since Pierre has finally crossed the magical barrier of 100 000 followers on Twitter, so he decided to give something back to his loyal fans and came up with a surprise: the first part of it is a video of Pierre playing drums for the new Simple Plan song “Can’t Keep My Hands Off You” (the second part of the surprise should be a Ustream webchat: the time has not been announced yet, but I’ll keep you informed on our Facebook and Twitteru). This is what Pierre noted to the video:

Here is me pursuing one of my passions… drums! I played over our song “Can’t keep my hands off you” with my Vdrums. You’ll notice a glitch at the end of the bridge. I had to cut and edit the drum fill cause i suck too much and i couldn’t get it right the first take. LOL… Chuck is pretty good. Enjoy!

First photos from the making of “Jet Lag”

You can now find the first photos from the set of the third Simple Plan music video for their upcoming record – for the song “Jet Lag”. Among the participants of the shooting of the video, that was directed by Frank Borin, was also Simple Plan’s friend Patrick Langlois and also lots of SP fans, which you can spot on some of the pictures:

New video and photos from Kids’ Choice Awards

Buzznet posted a new video, in which various celebrities and other people who attended this weekend’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2011, say hi to Buzznet – and apart from people like George Takei or Grayson Chance, you will be able to spot Simple Plan as well. Check them out in the video below:

Thanks to CSP here are some more awesome new photographs from the Kids’ Choice Awards – this time including also some amazing individual shots:

More news on the first two music videos

The Canadian TV channel MusiquePlus published a new video from the making off Can’t Keep My Hands Off You, which also includes an interview with Pierre and Chuck. As it is always with MusiquePlus, the interview is in French, but still I highly reccommend watching it, as you get to see some never seen footage from the shooting of the music video:

And about the second music video (and also the possible first single) Astronaut, here is a second picture from the day of the videoshoot: this time, the picture comes from Caitlin O’Connor’s Twitter page (thanks SPB for the reminder), who, as you can see, (judging by the fashion choice) probably will be representing the “astronaut” in the music video. Apart from that, those David fans amongst us will probably notice the new hair-do David is rocking these days and (finally!) not hiding it under one of his many hats:
