Claude Kelly talks about the members of Simple Plan

Claude Kelly, who has been co-working with Pierre and Chuck during the writing process on some of the songs for th upcoming Simple Plan album (and who you may recall from the “I’m Black” video) today answered a fan’s question on his Tumblr: a question about what he thinks of the members of Simple Plan and also if they have ever mentioned Brazil to him. Here is his answer along with a never-seen-before picture of him, Pierre and Chuck:

Simple Plan!! Chuck and Pierre and freakin awesome! Coolest guys on earth. And funny as hell. They DID mention that their fans in South America are massive.

Have u seen our video of “I’m Black”?? Thats how much fun we had. everyday!

They were even nice enough to take this pic with a loser like me:

Gallery update

There are few pretty awesome new photos in our gallery! First, you can check out (thanks to SPG) one HQ picture of Pierre from a photoshoot, which you could have seen in the british magazine called Rock Sound in 2008. Secondly, I have also added few Simple Plan photos from their visit to the Dead Sea in Israel also from 2008:

They say we should keep the best for the end – here is a not-so-known photo of the boys from the making of the photoshoot for the Still Not Getting Any album from 2004. This photoshoot, including 3 photos, is thought to be behind the formation of three Simple Plan symbols, which appeared after the release of Still Not Getting Any: each of the pictures is thought to symbolize of of the fore-mentioned symbols: the house (the photo from the suburbs), the stick with two snakes (the photo from the senior house) and finally the blazon with golf sticks (the photo from the gold field). You can now check out the new picture from the making of this photoshoot, particularly from the golf field in the SimplePlan.cz gallery:

Jeff and Seb on “Le Guignolee du Dr. Julien”

“Le Guignolee du Dr. Julien” is an event that has been taking place in Montreal, Canada for few years now in order to draw a smile on the fances of hundreds of disadvantaged children just few days before Christmas and also to raise money for the Dr. Julien Foundation to support the disadvantaged children. This year the event was held today, on December 18th, between 9am and 5pm. Not only children, their parents, friends and volunterrs attended the event, but also celebrities, media and musicians – and as it happens, our boys from Simple Plan could not miss this benefit event – particularly Jeff and Sebastien, who’s pictures from today you can already check out in our gallery.

Flashback: New York Minute

On SimplePlan.cz, you could have already read flashbacks on Simple Plan’s relationship with Hilary Duff or on the Punk Rock Holocaust movie. This time, let’s turn the time back 6 years ago when the film New York Minute was shot in New York… duh. Except the Olsen twins, Jared Padalecki (Gilmore Girls, Supernatural), Eugene Levi (American Pie) or Jack Osbourne (The Osbournes), Simple Plan also starred in this movie. As themselves. You can read more about the movie itself right here.

But how did the guys get the role in the first place? In an interview for the Chart magazine back in 2005 Chuck says: “The whole way we approached it was that we heard that they liked our band and they called and said, “Do you want to be i our movie?” And for us it was a chance to play live concert in a movie. We don’t really discriminate who we play in front of and it gave us a chance to do what we do – which is play live in front of a bunch of people.”

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have been a pretty massive global phenomenon back in 2004, so there’s no wonder the guys from SP wanted to get closer to them. “We tried to buy them lunch,” says Chuck. “But they weren’t having any of it….” David smiles: “Mary-Kate tried my bubble tea.”

Exclusive, you can now check out a HQ version of the photo of the Simple Plan members with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, which has been only seen in a really low quality so far:

And apart from that, make sure to check out the newly added photos from the backstage of New York Minute: and if you’re paying enough atention to them, I’m pretty sure you will find our boys in them:
