Pierre’s Twitter song

Few days ago, Pierre finally reached his long-awaited number of 90 000 followers on the Twitter social network. To thank all his faithful followers, he decided to compose and record a “Twitter song”.

You can check the lyrics to the song below (by the way, Pierre forgot to mention a whole lot of countries in his Twitter song, for which he apologized on his Twitter afterwards and thanked some more countries – so check his Twitter page for that – he might have mentioned your country at last), you will also be able to find them in our Lyrics center later :) Enjoy:

Check
This song goes out to all my Twitter fans, I love you.
I still remember the first time I heard about Twitter.

*yup.*

I thought what the hell is this,
is this something I should even consider.

*noone’s gonna use this*

Just when I was getting a hang of my MySpace page,

*Ah! Now I get it!*

But now no-one’s even checking, well I guess that was the MySpace phase.

*mmmhhm*

Well now I’ve got the phone app,
I can post my twitpics.
And follow Kim Kardashian

*or not*

All I really know is 90 000 people’s a lot.

*Yeah, that’s a lot of followers.
I don’t care what you say, Justin Bieber*

Now I’m talking shit,
saying things that I should keep for myself

*I’m picking my nose*

Like what I’m doing in the bathroom
and the details of my sexual health.

*It’s like I’m a burning sensation*

It’s kind of funny that
my account still isn’t verified.
If I get to a hundred thousand
then maybe I won’t be denied.

*mmmhmm*

Now I know the lingo, I can even hashtag
and RT all my friends’ tweets

*Sweet!*

All I really know is 90 000 people’s a lot.
Yeah that’s a lot of people! 90 000 followers!
Thank you so much. All of our fans everywhere!

In Canada, USA, Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela,

Claude Kelly talks about the members of Simple Plan

Claude Kelly, who has been co-working with Pierre and Chuck during the writing process on some of the songs for th upcoming Simple Plan album (and who you may recall from the “I’m Black” video) today answered a fan’s question on his Tumblr: a question about what he thinks of the members of Simple Plan and also if they have ever mentioned Brazil to him. Here is his answer along with a never-seen-before picture of him, Pierre and Chuck:

Simple Plan!! Chuck and Pierre and freakin awesome! Coolest guys on earth. And funny as hell. They DID mention that their fans in South America are massive.

Have u seen our video of “I’m Black”?? Thats how much fun we had. everyday!

They were even nice enough to take this pic with a loser like me:

Wavin’ Flag nominated for Juno Awards

Source: SPB.com

About a year ago, 57 young canadian artists got together and formed a project called “Young Artists For Haiti”. Among them, we could find lots of well-known names like Avril Lavigne, Lights, Justin Bieber, Jacob Hoggard and also our own: Simple Plan’s Pierre Bouvier. Together they have recorded K’Naan’s hit song “Wavin’ Flag” in order to support the victims of last year’s earthquake on Haiti. And this year they might even get awarded for that!

The song “Wavin’ Flag” by Young Artists For Haiti has been nominated for this year’s Juno Awards (which are considered to be a Canadian counterpart of the American Grammy Awards) in the category “Single Of The Year”! The fate of this song will be sealed on March 27th in Toronto, where the Juno Awards are taking place this year.

Simple Plan planning the 2011 tour!

The guys are apparently already all sober after all those New Year’s celebrations because as Sebastien mentioned on his Twitter today, it’s “time to come back to productivity”. Well we can’t do anything but agree – there are few pretty busy weeks ahead of Simple Plan – they still have no title for the upcoming album, just like there is no artwork done yet and just like we still have no clue about the album’s release date.

But we know at least about one thing that the guys are already working on: planning the 2011 Simple Plan tour! Pierre confirmed it in his most recent tweet:

Very exciting, right? There nothing in particular that’d be confirmed, but all the SP guys constantly claim they will definitely return to all the place they’ve already visited AND get to all the never-been-before places as well.

Update: According to Chuck, the first dates should be announced “soon…like very soon!” And Jeff also confirmed Simple Plan will be touring this SUMMER many places they haven’t been to for way too long.

So, which shows would YOU attend? Just in your country or are you planning to do some little touring yourself? :)

How Pierre surfed at Christmas…

While some people like spending their Christmas holidays with snow all around, there is this other kind of people, who prefers a little bit warmer climate. And by other people I mean Pierre Bouvier, who spent his Xmas on Barbados – along with his girlfriend and friends, among which is also Sebastien, who took a little video of Pierre during his favourite activity: surfing.
