To celebrate the release of their new book – Simple Plan: The Official Story – Simple Plan will be doing a book signing at the Librairie Monet (Monet Library) in Montreal, Canada on November 13th from 7 to 8pm.
According to the library’s website, the first 300 people to order the book from them in advance by completing a form (more info can be found here) will have a chance to be selected to meet the band when they present their exceptional book.
Simple Plan have finally made an official statement about the upcoming release of their book “Simple Plan: The Official Story”, which will include a ultimate history of the band and lots of exclusive pictures and memorabilia.
The band officially confirmed that the cover of the book (yesterday posted on SimplePlan.cz) is indeed a real deal and that the pre-order for the book has already started.
According to the official website, “the book is part album, part scrapbook, with special interviews and a remarkable collection of artefacts from the band’s personal archives”.
Although, there are still little inconsistencies about when the book will actually come out. The official website states the French version comes out November 8th, yet the Chapters website that is linked for pre-order say the release date is November 6th. Regarding the English version, the official website says the date is yet unknown, even though Kathleen Lavoie confirmed herself the English version should be out on November 15th, yet the Chapters website says November 22nd.
But what is important is that both the French and the English version of the book are now available for pre-order. If you want to buy the French version, visit the link here. Update: Apparently Chapters currently doesn’t ship to a lot of countries. But don’t worry, there will be way how to get it to everyone. Hold on.

Despite some of the online book stores have been using the previously annouced possible cover for the promotion of Simple Plan’s upcoming book “Simple Plan: The Official Story”, the store Archambault has now updated the previously blank image with the actual cover of the book. As you can see from the image below, the cover now includes even the title of the French version of the book: “Simple Plan: L’Histoire Officielle”.

Thanks to Kathleen Lavoie, the writer of the history of Simple Plan in this book, I learned that the release date of the English version will indeed be just a few days after the French version – to be specific, the English version of the book will come out on November 15th 2012.
As soon as there is more info about where you’ll be able to order the English version from, I’ll let you know.

It’s only been one day since Simple Plan fansites spread the news about the long-waited Simple Plan book – Simple Plan: The Official Story – or to be more precise – its French version – is coming out on November 6th 2012 and is already available for pre-order at a couple of online book retailers. Thanks to the information from Charbel again, according to the Amazon.ca’s bestselling charts, Simple Plan’s new book is doing extremely well! Just during yesterday, the book climbed all the way up to #5 on the list of 100 bestselling French books at Amazon.ca (although at the time that I’m writing this article, the book is at #15 as the list is updated every hour) and all that after only one day since it has been released for pre-order!
What’s interesting about this information is that Simple Plan haven’t even announced that the pre-order of the book is already available, so the information came only from Simple Plan fansites. Therefore we can expect the sales will rise even more the moment the official websites post about it.
