Pierre to perform at ‘Strange 80s 3D’, a charitable event in support of Chester Bennington’s mental health foundation

In just a little over a month, tens of talented artists from many well-known bands and projects will join their forces to create a third installment of a one-of-a-kind event that raises money for the 320 Changes Direction foundation, started by Talinda Bennington, the wife of the late Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington, that focuses on helping those who suffer with mental health, depression and addiction issues.

‘Strange 80s 3D’ will take place in Los Angeles on June 1st at the Fonda Theatre and will feature a rotating cast of “the biggest marquis talent and emerging artists in rock, performing songs from the world’s favorite decade, the 80s.”

Amongst the performers will also be musicians such as Lauren Mayberry & Mark Doherty (CHVRCHES), Adrian Young (No Doubt), Scott Shriner (Weezer), Jesse Hughes (Eagles of Death Metal), Stephen Perkins (Jane’s Addiction), Carmen Vandenburg & Rosie Jones (Bones UK), Dave Kushner (Velvet Revolver), Marko Desantis (Sugarcult), Keith & Michael Jeffrey (Atlas Genius) or Pierre Bouvier (Simple Plan).

Tickets for this event ($43) go on sale on April 18th, at 10am local time.

More information about ‘Strange 80s 3D’ can be found on the event’s website.

New SP album to be released this year and more hints from Pierre at the final day at Walt Disney World

Simple Plan’s short 4-day stay at Walt Disney World, where they got to perform 12 times in total has come to an end. The boys once again very much enjoyed this special experience and according to the information we have from SPB from fans who witnessed some of the band’s performances there, Simple Plan already have plans to return to Disney again next year. So mark your calendars, Disney & Simple Plan lovers – next March it is!

And that’s not all! According to the same sources, Pierre also mentioned to the crowd that the band is currently working on the sixth studio album and confirmed that while they still do not have a concrete release date, the new Simple Plan record will come out later this year. Lots to look forward to, eh?

Oh, and since it would be quite difficult to distinguish all the 12 sets the guys played at Disney, we gathered some more pictures from all the dates into one big album. Check out all the pics in the gallery right now:

Simple Plan returned to Walt Disney World to perform their first shows of 2019

For the third year in a row, Simple Plan arrived to Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL a few days ago to once again perform as a part of the Garden Rocks festival series. There, the band is scheduled to perform for four consequent days with three short performances each day. Previously, the guys performed there in 2018 as well as in 2017.

As it’s already become the tradition, the members of the band all tagged their families along to not only work but also spend some more time with their loved ones in “The Most Magical Place On Earth”. Unfortunately as expected, David has still not rejoined the band on tour.

Yesterday, March 17th, Simple Plan kicked off this concert series with their first show in 2019 with the first one of the three sets out of which we have acquired two of the band’s setlists. Just like last time, the guys like to change the songs up a little bit for all three performances, so that the attendees of the shows can enjoy a wider variety of their songs. Check out two of the three setlists from yesterday below:

1. Jet Lag
2. Addicted
3. Your Love Is A Lie
4. Grow Up
5. Crazy
6. Summer Paradise

1. Shut Up
2. Can’t Keep My Hands Off You
3. I’d Do Anything
4. Perfect World
5. Welcome to My Life
6. Perfect

During one of the sets, Pierre also apparently took over Chuck’s place behind the drums again and played a little drum solo, which was captured on the following video posted on Seb’s Instagram today. Have a look:

And finally, make sure to check out the gallery for some fresh pictures from some of Day 1 of SP’s Walt Disney World shows this year:

Simple Plan to appear at all three Warped Tour’s 25th anniversary dates

When Warped Tour‘s Kevin Lyman announced last year that the 2018 edition of this classic punk rock touring festival would be its last the way we had known it for so long, many music fans’ hearts were left shattered because for 24 years, this tour has become a wonderful opportunity to many like-minded people to rock out to their favorite music, enjoy the summer atmosphere and experience some wonderful moments. But.. perhaps we all knew all along that 2018 wouldn’t exactly be a complete end to Warped Tour..

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Vans Warped Tour, tons of bands will be joining together an incredible line-up of artists that will gather for three special dates this summer – and yes, Simple Plan will be one of them!

Simple Plan will be one of only three acts (besides We The Kings and Chali 2na & Cut Chemist) that this year’s Warped Tour attendees will be able to see at all three planned Warped dates. They will be performing at the grand opening event at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH (June 8th), then will follow-up with a show in Atlantic City (June 29th-30th) and you can also catch them at the final show in Mountain View, CA (July 20th-21st).

As we’ve teased earlier, besides Simple Plan, this year’s 25th anniversary of Vans Warped Tour is bringing in quite the line-up: Blink-182, The All-American Rejects, Good Charlotte, SUM 41, We The Kings, Bowling For Soup, The Used, A Day To Remember, Sleeping With Sirens, The Offspring, Bad Religion, Anti-Flag and many many more incredible bands to be announced!
