First ever setlist for Simple Plan’s Harder Than It Looks Tour

After a winter break Simple Plan have finally emerged back on stage – and for the first time since the pandemic they were finally allowed to tour South East Asia, where they’re playing a couple of festivals as well as a few headlining shows.

Now what’s so special about this tour is that this is in fact the very first solo headlining tour that Simple Plan have done for their new album Harder Than It Looks. Uptil now, since the release of the record they have only done co-headlining (with Sum 41 in the U.S.) or supporting tours (with Sum 41 in Europe and with The Offspring in Canada), meaning the shows weren’t focused on the new album and they weren’t as long as a headlining show would be.

After four full headlining shows played on this South East Asian tour (if we don’t count festivals), we can finally get a better look at what the Harder Than It Looks setlist looks like and what it could look like for possible other future shows. First things first, there is no one stable setlist for each concert, as SP try to switch things up with every show (kudos!). But overall the main structure remains the same – each of their album gets fairly the same amount of songs (3-5) with the exception of the self-titled one and TOFTT (only 1 each) and then there’s a few extra covers and a b-side song. The setlist tends to be 18 to 21 songs long, depending on each show.

Below you can check out the basic structure of the Harder Than It Looks setlist, based on the shows in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines:

Simple Plan to return to the Czech Republic: announced for Rock For People festival!

As expected, ever since the days of the already announced festivals in Europe for next year have become suspiciously close to the dates of the most popular rock festival here, Simple Plan have been announced today to perform at the Rock For People festival in the Czech Republic. The festival will be taking place from 8th to 11th June in Hradec Králové, which is located a little over an hour from Prague. According to the first “advent calendar” announcement, which brought us this news, Simple Plan are supposed to be one of the subheadliners there.

So far besides SP, fans who will be attending this festival can also look forward to acts such as Slipknot, The 1975, MUSE, Billy Talent and many more still yet to be announced.

The tickets to the festival are already available here with more one-day tickets likely to be released later when more bands have been announced.
