Simple Plan to return to Canada this fall with The Offspring

The ‘Let The Bad Times Roll Tour’ has already been through a lot (of bad times). You may recall that last year it was announced that Simple Plan would be opening for The Offspring on their cross-Canadian tour in early 2022, however due to another surge of the covid-19 pandemic, this tour has been canceled. However, things are finally starting to look up and the Canadian fans will finally get to see these two bands together on an unforgettable tour later this fall!

The Offspring will be taking Simple Plan as a special guest on a Canadian tour that will kick off on Halloween in Halifax, NS and continue throughout all of November and finishing in Victoria, BC. Overall the tour will be making stops in 18 different cities.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, September 9th, at 10am EST but if you want to get them early you can use the pre-sale code JUSTAKID and get your tickets already on Thursday, September 8th from 10pm local time.

European Sum 41/Simple Plan tour slowly begins to be sold out!

If you are still waiting to purchase your tickets for the European Sum 41 ‘Does This Look All Killer No Filler” tour featuring Simple Plan as special guests, you better make your decision fast!

As of right now, at least three dates of the tour – coincidentally the last three ones – Tilburg (Netherlands), Brussels (Belgium) and London (UK) are now sold-out!

Another information we have is that the tickets to the front sector of the Bratislava (Slovakia) show are over 90 % sold-out (this information comes from Thursday) and the Czech promoters also advice buying the tickets for the Prague date as soon as possible.

The two Canadian bands will be returning to Europe on September 20th and will tour there for a whole month.

Simple Plan back on tour in the U.S.: check out the new setlist feat. a cover of ‘Wonderwall’

After a little summer break, Simple Plan are back on the Blame Canada co-headlining tour with Sum 41 in the U.S., which will continue until August 28th. This time around, the boys are hitting mostly cities on the western coast with the exception of the final three dates, which will take place in New York and New Jersey to make up for the canceled shows from the first leg of this tour (which were then canceled due to positive covid tests in the Sum 41 camp).

As far as the setlist of the show goes, it mostly remained very similar to the one Simple Plan had on the first leg of the tour. Of course, every night, the guys like to switch up a couple of songs to make the shows always a little different. But the main structure of the setlist remains the same. The band also still incorporates a cover “party medley” in the middle of the show, where they cover Smash Mouth’s ‘All Star’, Avril Lavigne’s ‘Sk8er Boi’ and The Killers’ ‘Mr. Brightside’. Besides these cover, there is one extra cover that Simple Plan has played at most of the recent shows toward the end of the show right before ‘Untitled’ or ‘Perfect’ – and that is the cover of Oasis’ legendary song ‘Wonderwall’.

Check out the setlist of the most recent show in San Diego (August 5th):

  1. I’d Do Anything
  2. Shut Up!
  3. Jump
  4. The Worst Day Ever
  5. Addicted
  6. Wake Me Up (When This Nightmare’s Over)
  7. Summer Paradise
  8. Welcome To My Life
  9. Take My Hand
  10. Crazy
  11. Iconic
  12. Party medley (All Star / Sk8er Boi / Mr. Brightside)
  13. What’s New Scooby-Doo?
  14. Where I Belong
  15. I’m Just A Kid
  16. Wonderwall (Oasis cover)
  17. Perfect

Simple Plan & Sum 41 add a show in Budapest!

Hungarian fans can now rejoice – the upcoming Sum 41 European tour which will feature Simple Plan as the main special guest will be heading their way too! The bands recently added a concert date in Budapest, where they will perform just the day after Prague – on October 2nd.

The concert will take place in the Papp László Budapest Sportaréna and the tickets are already on sale here.

The rumors about this show have been going around for quite a few weeks now, especially after the date and place of the show has been revealed on a number of official channels, yet it has still been missing on the official tourlist. The show was recently also confirmed by Sum 41 at their June show at VOLT festival in Hungary. Now finally all the official details are out and the fans in central Europe can now choose from multiple options where to see these two pop-punk legends – whether it’s Prague, Vienna, Bratislava or Budapest. Or perhaps another European date.

Which date will YOU be attending?

Have a look at the footage from the first part of the Simple Plan/Sum 41 tour in the U.S.

A couple weeks ago, Simple Plan and Sum 41 finished the first half of their ‘Blame Canada’ tour across the United States and they are currently taking some time off and performing at a few Canadian festivals in June and July before returning back on the tour with Sum 41 at the end of July to finish off their big U.S. tour.

The SP boys published a new video documenting their first few weeks of the tour. If you’re seeing Simple Plan and Sum 41 in the U.S. or even in Europe in the fall, make sure to check out the video below to get a glimpse of the tour ahead of time:
