Simple Plan’s single “I Don’t Wanna Go To Bed” to feature Nelly + single’s cover revealed

For a couple of months now, we’ve been aware that one of the new songs on the new Simple Plan album might be featuring the American rapper Nelly, however the collaboration has never been officially confirmed, plus we had no idea which song he could be singing/rapping on. That is until now.

UK’s Sainsbury’s Entertainment website has already posted a page about the upcoming new Simple Plan single “I Don’t Wanna Go To Bed” and revealed that this is in fact the song that Nelly is featured on. Whether he is also featured in the music video is currently unknown. Nelly has had quite a few very popular features in the past (including “Dilemma” with Kelly Rowland or “Over And Over” with Tim McGrath).

Besides that, Sainsbury’s also revealed the single’s cover (which can be seen on the right) and also the song’s length, which is 3 minutes and 15 seconds.

Don’t forget, “I Don’t Wanna Go To Bed” is coming out this Friday, October 16th.

Simple Plan reveal first single’s title: “I Don’t Wanna Go To Bed”

After yesterday’s cryptic announcement we already knew there would be a new single and music video coming our way next Friday on October 16th, however the exact title still remained a secret. It turns out that the hashtag – #SPBed – only revealed only one part of the song title, as the band has finally revealed the full name, which is “I Don’t Wanna Go To Bed”.

You can already check out the first promo stills from the “I Don’t Wanna Go To Bed” music video in the gallery and look forward to next Friday when we all get to see (and hear) what it’s all about.

Simple Plan to release new music video in a week + first sneak peeks

Yes! Simple Plan’s long awaited official first single and its accompanying music video will be released this coming Friday, October 16th. The song, which currently hides under the shortcut “Bed” in the hashtag the band promotes it with (#SPBed), will be hitting the internet in a form of a music video that the band shot in August and about which Jeff has already mentioned that it’s “kind of a spoof on a funny TV show”.

Well, from the just released promotional stills from the music video that the guys posted on Instagram, we can already guess which TV show the guys might be making fun of (am I right?)… :)

Simple Plan shed light on upcoming single and already released songs

In another interview from Open Air Gampel in Switzerland, Pierre and Jeff got talking a little bit more about what all the fans are excited the most about: the new album. The band has been working on it for almost two years now and only recently started releasing first songs that may appear on it. And while the songs Saturday and Boom were sometimes mistakenly called the first singles, the boys confirmed in this interview that this is not really the case.

Check out what Jeff had to say about the released songs, upcoming first single (coming out in October/November) and the concept of its video and finally the new album’s release:

“We’re basically giving songs away right now to our fans because we wanna be kind of forgiven for taking that long to put the record out, so Saturday was one of the first, you know, releases. It’s not necessarily a single, you know, it’s just a song that we gave to our fans. Same thing with Boom. And our single is actually going to come out probably in November. So we just shot a video for it, we shot a video for Boom as well. Boom is really just a fun performance in our hometown in Montreal with crazy fans, you know, going nuts for the show. And I would say the next song, I almost named it but it’s a secret still, is a pretty funny video, you know. It’s kind of a spoof on a funny TV show. That’s as much as I’m gonna say now. So, basically, we’re just gonna release songs until we actually get to the single and then to the record. The record’s probably gonna come at the end of the year or the beginning of 2016.”

“Boom” to be released next week!

Say what you want about Simple Plan, but you can’t deny their absolute connection with the fans. In fact, the band just decided to announce the release date of the first single off their new album during the show in Hungary!

And because of the livestream, it wasn’t just the attendees that got to hear this scoop! Pierre confimed that their new song “Boom” will be premiering on August 28th, that means next Friday!

Whether that means the single will be out or the music video is not confirmed, but chances are it will probably be the release of the music video as well.
