Simple Plan tease releasing new song this month!

With their co-headlining tour with State Champs coming up in just a few weeks (starting October 29th to be precise), Simple Plan are slowly getting ready to hit the road again. And what better way to hype up the upcoming album our favorite Canadians have been working on for the past year, than by releasing some new music just in time for the tour to kick off?

Yeah, that’s right. Yesterday, Simple Plan took to all of their social media accounts – Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and posted a picture of a certain comment one fan has recently made on their socials:

“I’m calling it now: they’re gonna release a new song right before their fall tour.”

– Mack Jackson –

And given by how much Simple Plan have been hyping up this particular comment since yesterday, looks like Mack truly called it. Some reports right now even say that the song might actually be released this Friday, October 11th, already!

Hold on to your hats, Simple Plan fans, the new era of album no.6 is about to begin! Are you ready?

Watch Patrick Langlois sing Summer Paradise with Sebastien on guitar live on radio

This morning on the show ‘On est tous debout’ on Montreal’s Rouge 107.3 radio was quite a funny one. Patrick Langlois, who is one of the hosts of this program, exchanged his usual spoken voice for a singing voice and alongside his Man Of The Hour co-host, Simple Plan’s Sebastien Lefebvre, performed Simple Plan’s 2012 hit single ‘Summer Paradise’.

For those of you who may be newer to Simple Plan and are wondering who Patrick is… Patrick Langlois is definitely not a singer. Until 2008, Pat used to be Simple Plan’s merch guy, photographer, videographer and tour manager back in the early days of the band and you can even find him in the background of many Simple Plan music videos from the early 2000s. But most of all, even after all these years he’s still one of the dearest friends of the guys in the band. He’s since moved on to do bigger things and is now a full time radio & sometimes also TV host and a pretty well-known personality in Montreal.

Let’s have a look at how well Patrick did with ‘Summer Paradise’ on the video below:

Simple Plan performed rare song ‘Vacation’ at Walt Disney World!

Yesterday at the second to last day of performances at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL, Simple Plan surprised the audience at one of the day’s 3 sets by playing one of the fans’ favorites songs – Vacation, which many of you may recall from the Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen movie ‘New York Minute’ (where today’s posts’ header also comes from).

Check out how the boys rocked this classic that they very rarely perform live and that we mostly only heard being played at SP’s soundchecks:

Travis Clark posts a sneak peek of a possible new Simple Plan song

This week, it was time for yet another songwriting session of Pierre and Chuck and their friend Travis Clark from We The Kings, who is pretty much a part of the songwriting team now, given how long he’s been writing with Simple Plan’s lead songwriting duo. We found out about this session through Travis Clark’s Instagram Stories again, which also incidentally revealed another thing…

In the Story, that was later also reposted by Chuck on his own Stories, the drummer can be seen seated in his home studio, rocking out the air drums to a new – very likely Simple Plan – song, while his son London is accompanying him on the piano.

Check out this short video to hear the first little audio sneak peek from the upcoming Simple Plan album. What do you think?

LISTEN: Pierre Bouvier sings on a new track ‘Alleys’ by Canadian DJ Domeno

Domeno (Domenic Pandolfo), one of Canada’s most-in-demand dance music DJs, released a brand new single today called ‘Alleys’ featuring the one and only Pierre Bouvier from Simple Plan. And not only that Pierre is the leading vocalist on this track, he also helped write it! The list of songwriters involved with this particular song is quite long, as it includes Andrew Allen, Domenic Pandolfo, Pierre Bouvier, Richard Beynon, Ryan Henderson, Tat Tong and Tomas Shaw.

Besides the English version of ‘Alleys’ that Pierre sings on, a French version of this song was also released, where Pierre’s vocals are replaced by the Canadian folk rock group Kaïn.

Make sure to give a listen to this song and check out Pierre branching out to a little different genre of music than we’re usually used to hearing him do. You can listen to the whole song on Spotify:

Domeno – Alleys feat. Pierre Bouvier

This is how the story goes
Comes and when the cold room
Blows you away
Promises to keep you warm
Whisk you away before the dawn and break ???
When I heard you slam the door
And nothing like you’ve seen before
Some of us have been there twice
Good Lord not tonight

So pour me another drink
We’ll dance while the glasses clink
Tonight we ain’t never growing old
Bless those who parted ways
And cheers to the ones that stayed
Let’s take to the alleys when they close
Singin’, singin’

Na-na-nanana-na-na-nanananana
Na-na-nanananana
Keep singing’, singing’
Na-na-nanana-na-na-nanananana
Na-na-nanananana
Keep singing’, singing’
Na-na-nanana-na-na-nanananana
Na-na-nanananana
Na-na-nanana-na-na-nanananana
Na-na-nanananana

Found my way around the world
But never found my shining ???
So why
Girl, so why?
Did I come back to this old bar
But it’s all my friends and all my heart
And a glass ain’t never going dry
Cause we are here tonight

So pour me another drink
We’ll dance while the glasses clink
Tonight we ain’t never growing old
Bless those who parted ways
And cheers to the ones that stayed
Let’s take to the alleys when they close
Singin’, singin’

Na-na-nanana-na-na-nanananana
Na-na-nanananana
Keep singing’, singing’
Na-na-nanana-na-na-nanananana
Na-na-nanananana
Keep singing’, singing’
Na-na-nanana-na-na-nanananana
Na-na-nanananana
Keep singing’, singing’

Na-na-nanana-na-na-nanananana
Na-na-nanananana
Keep singing’, singing’
Na-na-nanana-na-na-nanananana
Na-na-nanananana
Keep singing’, singing’
Na-na-nanana-na-na-nanananana
Na-na-nanananana
Na-na-nanana-na-na-nanananana
Na-na-nanananana

So pour me another drink
We’ll dance while the glasses clink
Tonight we ain’t never growing old
Bless those who parted ways
And cheers to the ones that stayed
Let’s take to the alleys when they close
