Christmas light display on a house in Idaho features Simple Plan’s latest Christmas song!

Decorating houses for Christmas not only on the inside but also on the outside has been a popular winter tradition in many countries all over the world – especially in the United States. Many families use sometimes even thousands of different lightbulbs to lighten up their home, to make it stand out and of course to bring a bit of holiday cheer to their street.

And one such house, based in Boise, Idaho, has gone even further – it not only lights up every evening, but starting this Sunday, it will be presenting a special light show every evening accompanied by animations to over a dozen Christmas-related songs!

A video of one of the light displays, which features Simple Plan’s latest Christmas song, release right before last year’s Christmas holidays – ‘Christmas Every Day’, was now published on YouTube and you can enjoy it all – including the animations below:

Watch Jeff and Pierre give guitar lessons to a fan

Before their show in Las Vegas, NV at the end of August, one lucky fan got to have a very special “two-on-one” guitar lesson from Jeff and Pierre from Simple Plan, who taught him how to play ‘I’d Do Anything’.

So if you wanna learn something new too, grab your own guitar and watch this 12 minutes long video:

YouTuber Kenny Holland released a mashup cover of Simple Plan’s and Ed Sheeran’s songs ‘Perfect’

Over the course of years, the title ‘Perfect’ has been given to tons of songs, that eventually became major successes – whether it was One Direction, Alanis Morissette, Hedley, Marianas Trench, our very own Simple Plan or more recently Ed Sheeran. As luck would have it, some of these ‘Perfect’ songs match together way more than others, and the latest cover by Kenny Holland is a perfect example of that.

Kenny Holland, a popular YouTuber and musician, who reaches almost 300 000 subscribers on YouTuber, recently released a mashup cover with his sister London (who have formed a duo called ‘Ash & Ember’), in which he took Simple Plan’s song ‘Perfect’ from 2002 and Ed Sheeran’s ‘Perfect’ from 2017 and seamlessly merged them together.

Simple Plan performed ‘Promise’ on Warped Rewind At Sea!

Simple Plan recently brought some serious nostalgia on the Warped Rewind At Sea cruise, which took them, thousands of fans and other bands, from New Orleans to Mexico and back. And since most of the attendees of the cruise were rather secluded due to the limited access to the Internet, we are only now getting new bits and pieces from this unique pop-punk boat ride.

During the stay on board, Simple Plan performed a number of sets, promising that each set would feature a totally different setlist. And they weren’t lying – because of that, the fans got to hear some pretty special tracks! For instance, on one of the acoustic sets, which featured only Pierre, Seb and Jeff on stage – Simple Plan performed a very rarely played ‘Promise’ from their second album, ‘Still Not Getting Any’.

Let’s now take ourselves back to 2004 with the following video capturing ‘Promise’ on Warped Rewind At Sea:

Former Glee actor Jake Zyrus covers Simple Plan’s ‘Perfect’ at his first concert

While the name of the Filipino singer, Jake Zyrus, who rose to fame through YouTube in 2007, may not ring a bell to you at first, his original name Charice Pempengco, which he used until his gender transition to male, may.

Zyrus was first discovered as a talented singer by Ellen Degeneres in 2007, 10 years before his transition. Since then, he’s received a large exposure on various media channels, including TV, where he appeared in the role of a Philippino foreign exchange student called Sunshine Corazon in the second season of the TV series Glee [watch a preview here].

As he officially changed his name to Jake Zyrus this summer, his first ever concert under his new name took place only very recently – on October 6th. Besides a number of his own songs, Jake also performed a cover of Simple Plan’s song ‘Perfect’. As a solo artist, this version of the song is vastly different from what we’re used to – so make sure to check it out below and let us know how you like it:
