After over two decades of touring the world and shaping the soundtrack of a generation, Simple Plan are about to open up like never before.

The band has just announced their brand new documentary titled Simple Plan: The Kids in the Crowd — premiering July 8th exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. The film will be available in over 240 countries and territories worldwide, giving fans around the globe a chance to dive deep into the band’s incredible journey.

"This movie is the story of our lives. We can’t wait to share it with you on July 8th! We wanted to celebrate our 25th anniversary as a band by giving you a chance to truly get to know us. We hope you enjoy it!"

Directed by Didier Charrette, the documentary combines never-seen-before archival footage, behind-the-scenes moments, and candid reflections from the band members themselves as well as interviews from multiple well-known figures from the music industry that have crossed paths with Simple Plan before including Avril Lavigne, Noodles and Dexter Holland (The Offspring), Mark Hoppus (blink-182) or Fat Mike (NOFX).

Whether you’ve been following Simple Plan since No Pads, No Helmets…Just Balls, or discovered them more recently, The Kids in the Crowd promises to be a heartfelt tribute to the band’s legacy — and to the fans who made it all possible.

Still Not Getting Any 20th anniversary: new edition release, gold & platinum certifications and music videos in HD!

On October 26th, Simple Plan’s second album ‘Still Not Getting Any’ celebrated 20 years since its release back in 2004. To commemorate this very special anniversary, the band decided to release a special “20th Anniversary Edition” of this album on Spotify which includes the b-side track ‘Crash And Burn’ (which is officially available for streaming for the very first time!) as well as an acoustic edition of ‘Welcome To My Life’.

Check out below what Simple Plan had to say about one of their most popular albums turning 20 years old:

Making this record was one of the best experiences we’ve had as a band. We knew exactly what we wanted to create and felt so confident and excited about the songs we were writing. We spent a magical summer in our hometown of Montreal recording them and crafting the album we had always dreamed of making. Back in 2004, people from all over the world heard these songs and they became the soundtrack to many of your lives. 20 years later, we’re so proud and grateful they seem to have stood the test of time and we look forward to playing them live for you for many years to come. We hope you enjoy listening to the album again and would like to thank everyone for the love and support you have shown SNGA for all these years!”

And we’re not just stopping there! Besides the rerelease of the album on Spotify, the band also decided to upgrade most of their old music videos, including the ones from Still Not Getting Any, and finally get them a proper high definition treatment! Check out how different Welcome To My Life now looks in HD on the video below:

And one more special news regarding the songs from Still Not Getting Any! One day before the big 20th anniversary, the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) had awarded Simple Plan multiple new certifications for three of the album’s singles.

Welcome To My Life received a 2x Platinum status with 2 million units.

Untitled received a Gold status with 0,5 million units.

Shut Up received a Gold status with 0,5 million units.

(The current RIAA definition of a unit is either each permanent digital download or 150 on-demand audio or video streams.)

Simple Plan’s first headlining show’s setlist in Europe revealed

We’ve already shown you the short festival setlist from France – in Italy, the band added What’s New Scooby Doo. In Switzerland however, the fans got to rock out for 21 songs in total.

And thanks to our dearest fans (Yva & Charlotte), we managed to get a closer look at the full setlist! According to them, the band also added The Lucky One on the spot, contrary to the written down setlist.

Watch Pierre’s cameo in Neck Deep’s new music video

The British pop-punkers Neck Deep released their new music video for the catchy and up-lifting song ‘When You Know’ and given they weren’t able to film it normally due to the current pandemic situation, they decided to get their fans to help them out with the video.

Besides their fans, some of whom managed to get pretty creative with their signs to get into Neck Deep’s video, you might also be able to spot a number of members from other pop-punk bands – namely ROAM, Silverstein, State Champs and even Simple Plan.
