On Friday, October 16th, Pierre held a webchat with fans on Simple Plan’s Facebook page, where about 30 000 fans who were watching it live had the chance to watch the lead singer answer some of their questions regarding the new album, touring and other things.

In this webchat, Pierre revealed not just one, but two song-titles of songs that we can expect on the new album. The first mentioned track, called “I Refuse” is the song that we’ve previously heard about when the boys talked about one of the heaviest songs they have ever written. Hopefully this information will give comfort to some of you, who crave more rock from Simple Plan. Pierre also mentioned that in a way, this song “is a little bit about bullying”.

The second song-title the fans Pierre revealed is “Kiss Me Like Nobody’s Watching”, which is apparently currently Pierre’s favorite Simple Plan song on the new album. However he did not hint on the genre of the song.

NEW ALBUM
– first version of “I Don’t Wanna Go To Bed” was written in Pierre’s home studio (which Pierre gave the fans a little video tour of)
– new album can be described as diverse, just like GYHO – includes different type of genres, including a number of rock, pop-punk songs and also other type of songs (such as “I Don’t Wanna Go To Bed”)
– in one of the questions, Pierre was asked about his stance on bullying – Pierre said that even though he is a guy in his 30s, he can still relate to those emotions (even more now that he has kids). Most importantly though, he mentioned that him and Chuck are actually writing a song right now, that’s kind of about that topic (a song other than “I Refuse”)
– the guys are currently working on adding a couple more collaborations on the new album
– where the Baywatch idea came from – Chuck and Mark Staubach [director] threw around a couple ideas – there was another funny idea but it didn’t happen, so then they did some more brainstorming and Baywatch came out of it
– new album should come out early next year – January or February, but before that the guys plan on releasing a couple more songs to get fans excited

– who would he like to tour with: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers or again with Green Day & Blink 182

– for Halloween, he and his wife will be dressed as the king and the queen of the forest, while their daughters will be the princesses of the forest
