VLOG: Simple Plan in Argentina

Even though the boys are already back in Canada now, there is still a couple footage missing since the last vlog, so let’s continue reminiscing about the times when SP were in South America by checking out the new vlog from Argentina!

VLOG: Saying goodbye to Brazil

Sim posted another one of his vlogs on Simple Plan’s YouTube channel. This time, he focused on the Brazilian shows and even interviewed the guys from the band a little bit about their stay in Brazil.

Summer Paradise in The Voice of Holland

Yesterday, on the Dutch version of The Voice, during the battle round, two contestants – Marco and Johannes – sang Simple Plan’s Summer Paradise together (thanks Karin for the info). Below you can check out a link to the video on The Voice of Holland website and see for yourself which of the contestants sang it better:

8 years since Still Not Getting Any…!

Exactly 8 years ago, on October 26th 2004, Simple Plan’s second album – “Still Not Getting Any…” – came out. This album was crucial for the band, as with songs like “Welcome To My Life”, “Shut Up!”, “Crazy” or “Untitled” helped the 5 guys from Montreal to have tens of thousands of new fans fall in love with their music.

Let’s commemorate this special anniversary with a video that was included with the Still Not Getting Any CD/DVD:

Magical night in Lima, Peru: astronaut on stage and a black-out

As Jeff has said, last night’s Simple Plan show in Lima, Peru, will sure be remembered forever. The band’s first concert with this country was filled with unexpected surprises and a well-handled improvisation. After the opening band 6 Voltios finished their set, it was Simple Plan’s time to wow the audience of 1500 Peruvians.

Towards the middle of their set, suddenly a random figure dressed in a astronaut space suit entered the stage and rocked with Simple Plan through-out their whole single “Astronaut”. In the end, when the person finally took down his mask, it turned out it was a male fan, who’s dream to dance with his favourite band on stage just came true.

Another interesting moment happened almost at the end of this Simple Plan show, when during I’d Do Anything, the lights went out. The situation was luckily resolved very quickly and the generator was back up again, allowing the band to finish their show in Lima.

Below you can check out first pictures from the show (but you can expect the photo album to be updated with some better ones throughout the day):

And here is a video in which you will be able to see the astronaut dancing on the stage with Simple Plan:
