Jeff, Seb and Pierre’s brother Jay discuss new album & charitable Strangers In The Night event on Global News

Yesterday morning, August 15th, Sebastien Lefebvre, Jeff Stinco and Pierre’s brother Jay Bouvier appeared together in a segment on Global News Morning Montreal show in order to discuss their involvement in the upcoming Strangers In The Night event, where they will perform next Saturday, August 24th in Pierrefonds, Canada.

Jay Bouvier, a lymphoma cancer survivor (also the reason behind the song ‘Save You’), has been an active speaker about surviving and overcoming his illness for years now, often working hand in hand with Lymphoma Canada, which is one of the benefiting charities of this charitable gala alongside the Simple Plan Foundation and Friends for Mental Health.

Besides their charitable activities, Jeff and Seb also hinted on the fact that they are currently in the studio working on the 6th Simple Plan record, which (according to Seb) should be coming out “soon” and the fans should first hear some new music hopefully either by the end of 2019 or in the very beginning of 2020.

Check out Jeff, Seb and Jay discuss this event and their new album on the video below:

Jeff and Pierre “bring it backwards” in a new in-depth interview

If you have a half-an-hour to spare and are interested in finding out more about the origins of Simple Plan, we sure have a treat for you today.

Pierre and Jeff from Simple Plan were recently interviewed by the guys from the Bringin’ It Backwards podcast (big thanks to Alberto for letting us know!), which focuses on asking thought-provoking questions and trying to figure out what music stars were like before becoming them. In this particular interview, Pierre and Jeff discussed pretty much the whole history of the band, while adding some interesting new insights such as the two them playing together in high school, Mark Hoppus actually liking the original demo version of ‘I’d Do Anything’ better than the studio version or how they thought the way they collaborated with the famous producer Max Martin on ‘Generation’ was a lost opportunity in a way.

We definitely recommend every Simple Plan fan to watch this interview to get some more in-depth insight into the early beginnings of the band from the point of view of Simple Plan’s lead singer and lead guitarist:

Pierre discusses his early years in a new video for Rock Sound

The British magazine Rock Sound recently released a brand new video featuring Pierre Bouvier from Simple Plan, filmed at Slam Dunk back in May of this year. In this video, Pierre talked about the first time he attended a Simple Plan band practice, what their first show was like, how they got to get signed by a label and a lot more.

Simple Plan made a special appearance as guest DJs at Emo Nite LA

Given how many musicians have made Los Angeles their home, every single time Emo Nite, the popular alternative/emo music party, comes into town, there’s always a big chance one might just see some of their favorite artists behind the DJ booth. So last night, when Emo Nite took over the Echoplex club in LA again, the attendees of the party got to see some very special guests spinning the records – including the members of The Maine and Simple Plan.

From Simple Plan, Chuck repeated his DJ guest spot from earlier this year and this time around he brought his pal Jeff Stinco to help him out. Also, according to the fans who attended this particular Emo Nite, David Desrosiers was also there amongst the crowd, enjoying the music, and so were also other musicians including Demi Lovato or Halsey.

In the gallery, you can already check out one picture of Chuck and Jeff rocking out at Emo Nite LA last night and while we’re waiting for more images to be released, below you can check out a video featuring three Instagram Stories that were published on Simple Plan’s official profile to see what Chuck’s and Jeff’s guest DJ set looked like:
