Simple Plan fans tend to have many dreams: some of them are happy when the band releases their new album, some of them can’t contain their excitement when they find out they are coming to their country, and some of them like to dream a little further than that: to the point where they wish Simple Plan played in their backyard or to have a chance to sing one of their songs with them on stage.
And some dreams do really come true. On the soundcheck for yesterday’s show in Manila, Philippines, Rica Singh (14), a hard-core Simple Plan fan, who has been listening to them ever since she was 5 years old, came to the venue with a huge sign saying: “Please, let me sing Jet Lag (French) with you on stage!”. David was the first to notice the sign and the band invited little Rica on the stage rightaway to fulfull her big dream.
Below you can check out a video of Rica’s reaction to being able to perform with her favourite band and their whole performance of the French version of Jet Lag:

When Brook Peters was 4 years old, he was one of the little kids in a kindergarten that was located somewhere around the the place that we now call Ground Zero in the New York City. It was his second day of kindergarten when September 11th happened. And even though he or his family hasn’t been harmed, many firefighters lost their lives saving the people from there. These firefighters have been like Brook’s second family, as he’s pretty much grown in fire houses.
