As you already know, the trip to Brazil wasn’t really problem-less for four fifths of Simple Plan, but they still managed to get there on time to play two shows in this country. Born To Be: Simple Plan
Thanks to farawaybrothers (and also Sab for trying to do the same noble thing) you can now watch the whole Simple Plan episode of MuchMusic’s Born To Be on YouTube! The program aired on Friday and it captures the whole career of Simple Plan, narrated by Chuck and Pierre:
YouTube minute: Brazilians and Mexicans might just be Aliens too
After a VERY long time, on the last two shows – in Porto Alegre, Brazil and Mexico City, Mexico, the guys from Simple Plan changed their setlists a little by including one more song from their first album No Pads, No Helmets…Just Balls: My Alien! Simple Plan have not played this song for a very long time, so to spice this whole “back to the roots” thing up a little bit, they decided to change the lyrics of the song too: so in Brazil, My Alien got changed to My Brazilian and in Mexico to My Mexican.
To quote @SPAstronauts_ : “I guess they finally found a new joke to use for the next 10 years! lol.”

From Brazil to Mexico
Simple Plan have wrapped up their stay in Brazil by appearing on a few radio and TV stations, where they also met a few of their fans. In the gallery, you can already check out tons of pictures from two radio stations.
The band spent the last two days in Mexico, where they are scheduled to play a long-awaited concert later today. Yesterday, Simple Plan attended the Telehit Awards 2011, which apart from Simple Plan welcomed also stars like Joe Jonas and Simple Plan performed there three of their songs. The first pictures from the blue carpet and from backstage are already in the gallery:

Simple Plan in tomorrow’s documentary Born To Be
Tomorrow’s edition of MuchMusic’s documentary called Born To Be will be featuring the whole career of Simple Plan – from their first steps all the way to this day. Below you can read the words of the producer of this documentary, which summarize what we can expect from it:
Five guys in one band who have sold millions of albums worldwide and who have millions of fans to match – sounds fake, right? It’s not. This band really does exist and the coolest part of all – they’re Canadian. Pierre, Chuck, Sebastien, Jeff and David are still together, still making music and most important, still friends. I would like pass along a huge, warm thank you to Simple Plan for allowing MUCH into their cooler than cool Montreal rehearsal space to sit down and take the time to share their story with their fans. Our interview felt like we were talking to old friends. It goes to show you that money and fame is nice, but Simple Plan found their secret to success and it’s true friendship!
