WATCH: YouTuber Elton Castee premieres video for new song ‘The Fun In Life’ feat. Pierre Bouvier & Scotty Sire

Back in January we informed you that Pierre recently joined YouTubers Elton Castee and Scotty Sire in a videoshoot for a new song, written by Castee. And not only that – Pierre also got to be featured in the song as well! The shoot took place at a special event, held by these YouTubers, in which they attempted to break 10 Guiness World Records, which they eventually managed to do.

During this event, the participants managed to break the following records: Most bicycle tailwhips in one minute, Most bicycle supermans in one minute, Most bicycle no-foot can-cans in one minute, Most bicycle backlips in one minute, Most bicycle 360 tabletops in one minute, Largest gathering of people dressed as dinosaurs, Most nationalities kissed in one minute, Most nationalities in a group hug, Most nationalities in a dance party and Most nationalities in a conga line. Pierre Bouvier also became part of a number of these world records.

Soon, we can also look forward to the making of this music video, but until then, check out the video for ‘The Fun In Life’ by Elton Castee feat. Pierre Bouvier and Scotty Sire below:

Elton Castee – The Fun In Life (feat. Pierre Bouvier & Scotty Sire)

Simple Plan
Scotty Sire
It’s Eltee
Hot boys, you ready?
What?
Sunday!
Check it out!

Not every day is gonna be a good day
Not everything is gonna go your way
It’s all about the way you think
Rise from your past
And don’t sink

Used to be the kid on the back of the bus
Everybody looked at me and never gave a fuck
So what?
Cause now I’m here to make a statement
The road you follow doesn’t have to be pavement
Go out without doubt
Make your own path
Never focus on the problems
It’s no simple math
Be of square
Stick to your roots
No equation
You’ve got nothing to prove

25 185
About how many days we have alive
Take every single one and make it count
???
Gonna get a drink from the fountain of youth
That’s just the truth
But one thing I’ve learned
I’ll break the news
Chase your dreams
But never run out of breath
Make Earth your stage
Your performance’s gotta be your best

Five yourself
Love yourself
Pass it on
If life is a show
Make this your theme song
Take chances
Don’t ever think twice
Mistakes are made
That’s the fun in life

Not every day is gonna be a good day
Not everything is gonna go your way
It’s all about the way you think
Rise from your past
And don’t sink

Not every day is gonna be a good day
Not everything is gonna go your way
It’s all about the way you think
Rise from your past
And don’t sink

I’ve been ???
Broken hope, broken heart
???
When I realized something
What doesn’t kill you doesn’t matter
With each defeat I grow, I become happier
I used to do tricks on command
Roll over
But then I realized my potential’s supernova
Legacy is not the ??? who knows ya
Over 2 million to witness Jehovah

Keep my head up high
You’ll only see the bright side
Progress is my bull’s eye
I’ll breathe that till I die
Sorry
Take a risk, it’s a part of the game
And I only pass go in the left lane
Keep this track and repeat
Like it’s your heartbeat
Sing it from the ski
To roofs of Wall Street
Black will never feel complete
If it’s treated like a worksheet
Happy ever after is the only true ???

Not every day is gonna be a good day
Not everything is gonna go your way
It’s all about the way you think
Rise from your past
And don’t sink

Not every day is gonna be a good day
Not everything is gonna go your way
It’s all about the way you think
Rise from your past
And don’t sink

Remember
Perfection is a fantasy
Take my hands – come and dance with me
The whole world is watching
But we ain’t, we ain’t, we ain’t ever stoppin’

Remember
Perfection is a fantasy
Take my hands – come and dance with me
The whole world is watching
But we ain’t, we ain’t, we ain’t ever stoppin’

We ain’t, we ain’t, we ain’t ever stoppin’

Not every day is gonna be a good day
Not everything is gonna go your way
It’s all about the way you think
Rise from your past
And don’t sink

Not every day is gonna be a good day
Not everything is gonna go your way
It’s all about the way you think
Rise from your past
And don’t sink

We ain’t, we ain’t, we ain’t ever stoppin’
(Not everything is gonna go your way)
We ain’t, we ain’t, we ain’t ever stoppin’

Yeah, never stoppin’

Chuck and Pierre tell the story of being kicked out of the studio when making their debut album

L’Anecdote is a YouTube series by the music website Punkanormal Activity, in which musicians or other various people from the music industry reveal a short music-related story that’s worth telling.

In the latest episode, Pierre and Chuck from Simple Plan were featured retelling the now infamous story of how the the five of them were kicked out of the studio by their producer Arnold Lanni, when recording their first album No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls, after they did something he expressly forbade them to do. As a bonus, the guys then added another story of how they then dealt with the situation in a way by which they were repromanded for again – this time by their own management.

If you haven’t heard the stories yet, make sure to watch the following video:

Chuck Comeau surprised Emo Nite attendees in Los Angeles as a guest DJ!

Combine all the greatest emo/alternative/pop-punk/any other nostalgic hits of the late 90s and all of 00s, bring is a few tears, a bit of dancing and a whole lot of a concert atmosphere and what you get is Emo Nite. Or else – try imagining going to a club, but they only had all your favorite pop-punk songs on. And that’s exactly that Emo Nite’s are for: bringing together emo & alternative kids of the late 90s and early 00s and promising the night of their life – sometimes with the help of a few guest DJs.

In the past, many prominent kings of the alternative scenes have graced the DJ stage of Emo Nite, such as Mark Hoppus or Alex Gaskarth… and as of last night, another familiar face has now joined the ranks of the Emo Nite guest DJs: Chuck Comeau from Simple Plan!

With the help of his friend Mike Fishkin from Idobi Radio, Chuck rocked the DJ spot at Echoplex in L.A. and had the attendees screaming all the greatest hits back at him from Good Charlotte to Simple Plan. Check out some of the pics from last night in our gallery:

Chuck also shared a number of stories from his surprise guest appearance at Emo Nite last night. See how well he did getting the crowd singing below:

Simple Plan to perform at the Pro-Am Gagné-Bergeron charitable hockey match again this year

This coming August, the members of Simple Plan will repeat their appearance at the 11th edition of the Pro-Am Gagné-Bergeron charitable ice-hockey match between professional ice-hockey players and amateur enthusiasts (big thanks to Valérie for the info). The band was recently announced as the main musical guest, just like last year. SP’s set is scheduled for 9:30pm as of right now.

It is unclear whether Chuck will not only grace the stage with his presence, but also again join the players on ice, as he usually does, but we’re betting he won’t let this opportunity slide.

While certainly a hugely entertaining event, Pro-Am Gagné-Bergeron is however most importantly a charitable effort, which raises funds for a number of charities. This year, donations will be handed out to the following charities: Simple Plan Foundation, Le Pignon Bleu, Leucan, Fondation Philippe Boucher and Fondation Maurice Tanguay.

The Pro-Am Gagné-Bergeron event will take place at Centre Videotron in Quebec, Canada on August 8th. If you’re interested in attending the match, you can secure your tickets ($25) at Ticketmaster starting March 23rd at 10am.

Pierre takes part in YouTubers’ Elton Castee & Scotty Sire’s music video event & helps set multiple new Guinness world records

A very big and exciting event took place yesterday at Tempest Freerunning in Hawthorne, California, where YouTubers Elton Castee, Scotty Sire and other known faces from their TFIL (The Fuck It List) YouTube channel, were joined by hundreds of people in order to break a number of Guinness world records together. Some of these world records attempts included XGames Gold Medalists doing 24 backflips in a minute and parkour & slackline athletes breaking other records, most people in dinosaur costumes at one place, world’s largest ball pit, most nationalities together record and others.

One of the special guests of this event was also Simple Plan’s lead singer Pierre Bouvier, who first met Elton Castee at Warped Tour last year, where SP even had this YouTuber join them on stage during I’m Just A Kid. This time however, the table have turned and it was Pierre who joined Elton and Scotty in the song “The Fun In Life”, which was performed during the largest ball pit attempt and he also appeared in the dinosaur costumes bit.

The whole music video filmed at the event should be released at the TFIL YouTube channel on February 11th.

And while we wait for the video and some more words on which of the world records were actually accomplished yesterday, below you can check out a couple of videos posted by various attendees of yesterday’s event to give you a little insight into what we can expect from the upcoming Elton Castee/Scotty Sire/Pierre Bouvier music video:
