RECAP: Chuck’s live webchat with fans

To celebrate him finally reaching 40 000 followers on Twitter, Chuck has decided to set up another webchat today at 3pm EST. Thanks to Ustream, hundreds of fans from all around the world were able to see him and chat with him live at the same time. The webchat lasted almost an hour and Chuck managed to reveals lots of very interesting information. Webchat You can check out the webchat below and also read some basic notes of the most important stuff that has been said:

8/4/2011 – Webchat with Chuck – RECAP:

– photoshoot, that the guys made a couple days ago is supposed to be “funny and awesome”

– before the end of April we should get our hands on some more Simple Plan music

– apart from Rivers Cuomo and Alex Gaskarth, the album will be including some MORE collaborations

– Jeff and Chuck (who usually don’t get much singing space on the records) are singing on the so-called “gang vocals” on the album, which are the parts of songs, where the whole bands is singing

– the song Astronaut is very special, not very funny, more serious and epic and the guys took extra care of the lyrics when writing them – accoridng to Chuck: “every line matters”

– the Astronaut music video should be including some sort of a “memory” or a “reference” on Patrick

– Patrick should be appearing in the upcoming third music video, that is set to be shot next week in Canada under the director Frank Borin

– the album should also be including some heavy / punk-rock / “warped tour” songs

– there will be some changes regarding Simple Plan concerts: the guys want to change the setlists more often and also play more songs that they hadn’t played much before from the first and the second albume

– Chuck’s favourite Simple Plan songs are: Crazy, No Love, One Day, Crash And Burn and Holding On

– Chuck confirmed that there is one song on the album that will have its English version and also a French version

– Chuck also mentioned the “brawls” between SP and the band Sum 41 – he has confirmed that after a reunion in Bologna, Italy, the bands are “cool now”.

– the band wants to pay more attention also to the “eastern-european countries” on their upcoming tours, meaning Slovakia, Czech Republic and other countries.

New video and photos from Kids’ Choice Awards

Buzznet posted a new video, in which various celebrities and other people who attended this weekend’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2011, say hi to Buzznet – and apart from people like George Takei or Grayson Chance, you will be able to spot Simple Plan as well. Check them out in the video below:

Thanks to CSP here are some more awesome new photographs from the Kids’ Choice Awards – this time including also some amazing individual shots:

More news on the first two music videos

The Canadian TV channel MusiquePlus published a new video from the making off Can’t Keep My Hands Off You, which also includes an interview with Pierre and Chuck. As it is always with MusiquePlus, the interview is in French, but still I highly reccommend watching it, as you get to see some never seen footage from the shooting of the music video:

And about the second music video (and also the possible first single) Astronaut, here is a second picture from the day of the videoshoot: this time, the picture comes from Caitlin O’Connor’s Twitter page (thanks SPB for the reminder), who, as you can see, (judging by the fashion choice) probably will be representing the “astronaut” in the music video. Apart from that, those David fans amongst us will probably notice the new hair-do David is rocking these days and (finally!) not hiding it under one of his many hats:

First look at the making of Can’t Keep My Hands Off You music video

Simple Plan have decided to publish the first sneak peak of what the new music video for the song Can’t Keep My Hands Off You from their upcoming album, should look like. As you can see in the 1 and half minutes long video documenting the shooting of the clip, the guys stayed true to the “plot” of the movie Prom, in which the song will appear:

Shooting of the Can’t Keep My Hands Off You video

Currently, the boys from Simple Plan are in Los Angeles, USA, where – 2 days ago – they attended a photoshoot for the cover of their new album that comes out on June 21st. The photographer of the photoshoot is nobody else than Chapman Baehler, who has worked with Simple Plan many times in the past – you may remember his work on the second Simple Plan album artwork – Still Not Getting Any. Pierre has also mentioned their work on the new photoshoot in his latest Bubbletweet, that you can check out here.

Yesterday, the guys started shooting their first music video – Can’t Keep My Hands Off You. And here I would like to clear something up: even though the guys have released this song and it is available for purchase, the official press release clearly states it is not the first Simple Plan’s single. Pierre himself cleared the rumours up on his Twitter, saying: “No it’s not an official single. It’s more like a gift to the fans that have been waiting for so long.”

Yet the guys are still making a music video for this song. And it seems like it should all be in prom spirit, as the music video will be promoting the new Disney movie “Prom”. First pictures of last night’s shooting, which appeared on Twitter, have also confirmed this information:

Below you can check out the trailer for the forementioned movie “Prom”, on which soundtrack Simple Plan’s “Can’t Keep My Hands Off You” will appear:

Update:

Andrea Kelley has confirmed via her Twitter to be one of the extras in the Can’t Keep My Hands Off You video (thanks to Jennie for letting us know). Andrea has previously appeared in an uncredited role in the Ron Howard’s adaptation of Dan Brown’s book “Angels And Demons”).

According to one of her tweets concerning the Simple Plan music video: “We’re filming at a school and apparently I’m a way bigger hit to high school boys now, then I was when I was in high school.”
