Simple Plan recap their tour in Japan in a new video

One week, four shows, three cities, hundred miles away from home in a whole different culture, great times and excited people – that’s what Simple Plan’s recent Japan tour was like in a nutshell. Now, to get a better look at what the tour was actually like visually, you can now check out the most recent recap vlog, the band has posted on their Instagram, documenting this tour from top to bottom.

Here it is:

Simple Plan return to Hawaii for the first time in 15 years & bring back Scooby-Doo!

It was quite fitting that for the one-off 15th anniversary No Pads show on their way from Japan back to mainland, Simple Plan visited Hawaii, where they haven’t set foot in 15 years.

Their stay there started and ended with a day off, which the band members took advantage off by exploring the beautiful local beaches, reading and relaxing. You can see some pictures from their stay there in the gallery (link below).

The Simple Plan show in Honolulu at The Republik venue has been sold-out for weeks and by the reactions from it, it was truly the place to be on Sunday night! Simple Plan might have performed their regular setlist – but with a very special last-minute addition. As a request from the audience, Pierre decided to play the fan-favorite ‘What’s New Scooby-Doo?’ in between ‘Boom’ and ‘Your Love Is A Lie’ during the encore.

Pierre, Seb and Chady spoof a popular Japanese skit at first shows in Japan

Simple Plan are finally back on the road and this time, the 15th anniversary No Pads tour has led them to Japan, where they are already in the middle of the four-show tour!

The band kicked the Japanese tour off in Nagoya yesterday and continued in Tokyo today. Both shows were packed with local fans, who have not seen the band in a while and were very excited to see this special tour finally arrive to their own country.

And it wouldn’t be Simple Plan, if there weren’t any surprises during the show. Somewhere in the middle of the set, Mikko reported to us that Pierre, Seb and Chady suddenly performed their own version of the very popular Japanese comedy skit by comedian Blouson Chiemi. In the original gag, the character in the middle – played by Pierre – is a successful career woman, who can handle both her work and her love life. In the skit she’s accompanied by two men, who eventually take their shirts off (portrayed by Chady and Seb). For comparison, you can check out the original Japanese skit here and below, you can have a look at how well Pierre, Seb and Chady delivered it to the crowd in Tokyo tonight:
