In the great Sebastien fashion, the Simple Plan guitarist just released a brand new video from the tourbus the four members of Simple Plan who are attending this tour (as David won’t be present) just boarded along with their crew.
The boys are currently heading to La Tuque, where they will be performing later today. Check out Seb’s new video… or as he calls it – “movie” – below:
In one of their latest articles, Alternative Press named 5 examples of times when bands stood up to security, when they treated their fans badly or didn’t do their job correctly. The bands that Alternative Press mentioned included Tonight Alive, State Champs, Knocked Loose, The Story So Far and… you’ve guessed it: Simple Plan.
The incident happened on the 2012 European tour in Milan, Italy [we reported about it here, back in March 2012]. In case you don’t recall, here’s a little recap of what happened: A fan first jumped on stage out of fun, after which he was escorted off the stage by security. Usually, the story would end here and we would say job well done, security. However, the security then proceeded to beat-up this fan on the side of the venue. When the members of Simple Plan noticed that, they stopped the show (right during one of their biggest hits ‘Welcome To My Life’) and Jeff even went to get the fan out of the security’s hands and brought him back on stage.
Check out what Alternative Press had to say about the band’s quick step-in into the incident and remind yourselves of the video of what all went down that night below:
“Security have a responsibility to step in if a fan jumps on stage because it poses a danger to the artist, but no fan deserves a full beatdown. Simple Plan brought this fan back on stage to make up for it!”
Next Thursday, Simple Plan will be returning on stage and they will be kicking off their tour in North America with two Canadian festivals. The first one, Jeudis Centre-Ville will be taking place in La Tuque, QC and the band is already very eager to be there!

In 2015, Simple Plan released the first official single from their latest record ‘I Don’t Wanna Go To Bed’ and along with that also an accompanying music video which featured not only Nelly, who raps on the song, but also David Hasselhoff. David’s cameo in the music video was a nod to his classic role of Mitch Buchannon in Baywatch, TV series from the 90s which Simple Plan spoofed in this video.
The Hoff’s scenes in the video were filmed in his actual home, which features lots of Baywatch memorabilia that can be seen in the background of ‘I Don’t Wanna Go To Bed’ scenes with this actor.
Make sure to visit our photo gallery now to check out many new pictures from the making of I Don’t Wanna Go To Bed and especially one new picture from the taping of The Hoof scene, which features David Hasselhoff and Chuck, who (as the mastermind behind the video concept) was present at the filming with him at Hasselhoff’s home:
In the spirit of the flashbacks to the No Pads times, Simple Plan published a never-seen-before image from the taping of the Late Night with Conan O’Brien on January 28th 2003. Besides Simple Plan, this episode of this late night talk show also included two other guests: Ellen Degeneres and MC Hammer. And while we are still yet to see if Simple Plan ever met Ellen that day, it is the artist behind ‘Can’t Touch This’, MC Hammer, who had a picture taken with the very young members of Simple Plan.
Check it out in its full size in our gallery:
And if you’d like another throwback from that day, here’s Simple Plan’s performance at the Late Night with Conan O’Brien with ‘I’d Do Anything’:
