‘No Love’ at soundcheck in Baltimore: Simple Plan return to the east coast

After a quick break in between the two parts of their U.S. tour, Simple Plan are back on the road and after touring California in the past week, the boys have landed on America’s east coast and their first stop led them to Baltimore, MD.

The guys played at the Baltimore Soundstage venue, for a couple hundreds of local fans. Thanks to Theresa we also already got ahold of the Monday show’s setlist, so let’s have a look at it. As you can see, it’s the exact same setlist as the guys played in Sacramento:

1. Opinion Overload
2. Jet Lag
3. Jump (‚I Gotta Feeling‘ snippet)
4. I’d Do Anything
5. Boom
6. Welcome to My Life
7. Addicted
8. Your Love Is A Lie
9. Singing In The Rain
10. Party medley – Uptown Funk (Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars cover) & Can’t Feel My Face (The Weeknd cover)
11. What’s New Scooby-Doo?
12. Can’t Keep My Hands Off You
13. Farewell
14. Summer Paradise
15. Crazy
16. I’m Just A Kid

Encore:
17. Shut Up!
18. Perfect World
19. Untitled
20. Perfect

Regarding soundcheck, Pierre apparently wasn’t present, however the band had a nice surprise in store for the SP Crew members as they played one very rare song at the soundcheck – and that is ‘No Love’ from SP’s self-titled album. Check it out on the video below (once again, big thanks to Theresa):

Now, come have a look into the gallery for a couple of new pictures from last night’s show in Baltimore:

New vlog: highlights from Simple Plan’s U.S. tour

Simple Plan are officially done with the west coast part of their U.S. tour and before the east coast part kicks off on Monday, the band decided to share with you a bunch of footage from their tour in California – from the shows in Santa Ana, Los Angeles and Sacramento that took place this week.

Check them out in the new vlog below:

Simple Plan kick off USA tour with ‘Perfectly Perfect’ and ‘What’s New Scooby Doo?’ on the setlist!

After years and years, Simple Plan finally returned to the USA, where they are about to play 9 concerts in a number of diferent states, both on the west and the east cost. Before their first show of the tour last night, Chuck, Pierre and Jeff filmed a little video talking about their current tour and inviting the U.S. fans to come see them play live:

The very first show of the U.S. tour took place last night in Santa Ana, CA [where Simple Plan played for the first time] at The Observatory and it was completely sold-out. This was a very special show not just because it was the first official show of this part of the tour, but also because since it was in California, both Pierre’s and Chuck’s families (the only two band members who reside in California, unlike the rest who live in Canada) were there to cheer their boys on. That means that Pierre’s girls Lennon and Soren were there along with Chuck’s son London, who’s Santa Ana show was in fact his very first Simple Plan show.

And the attendees of this concert were indeed in for a very big treat! As expected, Simple Plan changed up their setlist a bit, to make i more U.S.-friendly by adding a number of hits that the band has been known for in the U.S. for a while. But they didn’t stick to only the classics like Addicted, Untitled (which they already played in Kansas) or I’d Do Anything, but they finally decided to bring back one of their most known tunes – ‘What’s New Scooby-Doo?’ which serves as the theme song to the eponymous cartoon TV show.

Along with this surprising addition, Simple Plan also performed their new single ‘Perfectly Perfect’ live for the first time – with the whole crowd singing the words right back at them. As you can see from the full setlist below (thanks a lot to Misty Lake for sending it in!), the fans in Santa Ana got to see one of Simple Plan’s longest sets of this year:

1. Opinion Overload
2. Jet Lag
3. Jump (‚I Gotta Feeling‘ snippet)
4. I’d Do Anything
5. Boom
6. Welcome to My Life
7. Addicted
8. Your Love Is A Lie
9. Singing In The Rain
10. Party medley – Uptown Funk (Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars cover) & Can’t Feel My Face (The Weeknd cover)
11. What’s New Scooby-Doo?
12. Can’t Keep My Hands Off You
13. Perfectly Perfect
14. Farewell
15. Summer Paradise
16. Crazy
17. I’m Just A Kid

Encore:
18. Shut Up!
19. Perfect World
20. Untitled
21. Perfect

But I’m sure it’s the following videos you’re most anxious to see: so here’s a short video of Simple Plan performing ‘Perfectly Perfect’ live for the very first time:

Chady is also back on the tour with Simple Plan after a litle time off, so the boys immediately got him to shoot some cool behind the scenes photos of them. Along with that you can also check out some first pictures from the Santa Ana show in the gallery:

Chuck and Jeff personally tattoo a fan in Arizona

It’s not at all uncommon to see the members of Simple Plan write down lyrics, signatures or images for fans, who later want to have them tattooed on their bodies [we have over 300 SP fan tattoos to prove that]. What is uncommon however, is to have the members of Simple Plan actually tattoo these things on their own fans bodies… and that’s exactly what happened yesterday.

While at the Oro Valley Music Festival in Arizona, a local tattoo artist, Rachael, who also happens to be a Simple Plan fan, asked Jeff and Chuck whether they’d be willing to tattoo her personally with their own hands. The boys were very excited to fulfill her wish and after Rachael arranged everything and last night in Simple Plan’s tourbus Jeff and Chuck had their first ever experience of putting an ink on another person.

Check out the picture of Chuck tattooing Rachel in the gallery and Jeff doing the same on the video below:
