Simple Plan performed ‘My Alien’ and ‘Untitled’ in Denver

On Friday, July 8th, Simple Plan made a grand return to Denver, CO where they had another acoustic date scheduled at Tavern Downtown for the radio station Alice 105.9. The show was free, the attendance was huge and the responses on social media were incredible – the foursome brought back lots of nostalgia with their cleverly thought-up setlist, which once again included mostly old tracks. And as a big surprise, the band performed two songs which they do not play as a part of their live sets very often – ‘My Alien’ and ‘Untitled’.

The full setlist was as follows (out of order):

1. I’d Do Anything
2. Addicted
3. I’m Just A Kid
4. (party medley)
5. My Alien
6. Singing In The Rain
7. Untitled
8. Perfect

Some of the attendees took videos of the rarities played in Denver, so below you can check out both ‘My Alien’ and ‘Untitled’:

RECAP: Simple Plan opened for Blink 182 in Winnipeg, Canada

After weeks of touring the U.S. just acoustically in a foursome, the whole band was finally reunited yesterday in Winnipeg, Canada, where they had an opening spot scheduled for a show with a sick line-up! As it was previously announced, Simple Plan were added for one single date as the opening band alongside The Used for the pop-punk legends that are Blink 182, who recently released a new album called California.

And while we’re still waiting for a group picture of SP and Blink, Chuck already shared a throwback picture of him and Blink’s drummer Travis Barker, which was taken in 1999. Check it out:

The Winnipeg concert took place in the MTS Centre arena, which holds up to 16 000 fans, making it one of the largest shows for Simple Plan this year. The show itself kicked off with The Used’s set at 7pm, after which Simple Plan took the stage at 8pm before the headliners Blink 182 took over at 9:15pm. From the reactions on social media, we can tell that Simple Plan were received extremely well and their show was a major success. The exact order of the songs on the setlist is yet unknown, but the list of the songs the band played is as follows: ‘Opinion Overload’, ‘Jet Lag’, ‘Jump’, ‘Boom’, ‘Summer Paradise’, ‘Farewell’, ‘Shut Up’, ‘Welcome To My Life’, ‘Perfect’ and the guys couldn’t have missed playing ‘I’d Do Anything’, whose original cameo [Mark Hoppus from Blink 182] unfortunately didn’t join the band for the live version of the song.

Have a look at the amazing moment when the whole arena sung ‘Perfect’ all together at the end of Simple Plan’s set in Winnipeg last night:

As you already know, this event took place on June 22nd and just like elsewhere, the boys performed an acoustic set and also took the time to take pictures with the attendees.

VIDEO: Simple Plan performed ‘Promise’ in Dallas, TX

Yesterday Simple Plan drove to Dallas, TX, where they had two radio station performances scheduled – for 102.9 NOW and 103.7 KVIL. Our reader Theresa was there and according to her, the guys’ setlist was a bit longer than in Houston. Simple Plan played the following songs [order may have been different]:

1. I’d Do Anything
2. Welcome To My Life
3. Singing In The Rain
4. Crazy
5. I’m Just A Kid
6. Promise
7. Perfect

As you can see, Dallas got a little surprise in the form of ‘Promise’ live, which is a song from SNGA the band doesn’t feature on their setlists very often. Check it out on the video below:

And finally, here’s a couple of pictures from both performances in Dallas:
