European tour – yes or no?

Basically ever since the beginning of this year we knew that Simple Plan were planning to come back to Europe for about 6 weeks at the end of the year. However, after the fall has been getting closer and closer, and no dates have been revealed yet (and also Simple Plan started menitoning a tour in the UK in January), the European fans started to accept the fact that they will probably not see their band again this year.

Everything has changed after it has been confirmed (even on the official website) that Simple Plan would be performing at the Coca-Cola Music Experience festival in Madrid, Spain on November 9th. Yet still, the members of the band were remaining silent about any other dates in Europe. But because coming all the way to Europe just for one show did not seem logical, the fans still had a little hope that Simple Plan’s fall stay on the old continent might be longer after all.

However, yesterday during a Q&A session on Twitter, Pierre answered a question whether the guys would be coming back to Germany this year. Pierre wrote: “Not this fall. Hopefully next year. Sorry.” And because Germany tends to be a stop that Simple Plan never miss on any European tour, we can guess that most of the European dates that were scheduled to fall have for some reason been pushed back to January/February of 2013 and it is possible that the Spanish festival might have been the only one they could not cancel.

But let’s not be sad. Simple Plan will most definitely come back to Europe before they start working on the next album – meaning we should expect them here in January and February 2013.
