Whether it’s because of the commotion Simple Plan’s current acoustic promo tour is causing, or just because they haven’t played in the U.S. for so long, it’s starting to get pretty clear that the American Simple Plan fans missed the band quite a lot and still are very loyal to them. It took only 2 hours for the show in West Hollywood, CA to sell out, after the tickets went on sale this Friday morning. Simple Plan will be heading out on the tour across the U.S. in October with Story Untold and Hit The Lights – you can check out the list and info on all the upcoming Simple Plan tourdates in this section.
And it’s not just the tickets to the U.S. shows that are selling well – it’s also the VIP tickets to the so-called “pizza parties”, which include many perks, such as pizza and photos with the members of the band, early access to merch etc. Within a day, the pizza parties (that are open to up to 40 fans on each date) in New York, Cleveland and Chicago are already sold-out and according to Chuck, the remaining VIP tickets are selling very fast. This interest in Simple Plan shows in the U.S. is of course a big confidence boost for Simple Plan and it may have positive impact on the future tour announcements and possibly a part two to the U.S. tour.
