Let’s go down the memory lane today back to 2003 when Simple Plan released their first (and only, if we don’t count live ones) DVD “A Big Package For You”. Misty Lake recently submitted to SimplePlan.cz a picture of her copy of the VHS tape with a letter that had been delivered to some Invasion Crew members back in 2003 before “A Big Package For You” came out, which featured a short preview of the DVD.
Reading the letter below will show you that it was indeed the word-of-mouth of the fans that helped Simple Plan so much in their very early days.
“If you are reading this letter, it means you have just received the top-secret VHS preview copy of Simple Plan’s upcoming DVD “A Big Package For You” – in stores November 25th.
You were handpicked to recieve this exclusive preview tape because you are the best of the best and among the most elite Invasion Crew members in existence today.
Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to show this tape to as many people as possible. Show it to your friends, your family, people you work or go to school with, your pet hamster, your friendly neighbor, your city’s mayor, the local gas station attendant or anyone else you come in contact with.
You have exactly 7 DAYS to show this video to another person. Oh wait, sorry, that’s from that movie with the scary video tape. But seriously, show it to a lot of people, let everyone know when it’s coming out and spread the good word about Simple Plan and A Big Package For You!
