In May, right before the start of their Australian tour, Simple Plan stopped in Vietnam for a few days, to take part in a special free benefit concert in Hanoi to support the fight against human trafficking for the audience of more than 40 000 people.
After the concert, the band took a train to the north part of Vietnam, where they had a chance to engage with at-risk vulnerable populations from ethnic minority communities. Simple Plan met with two organizations: Sapa O’Chau and Pacific Links, who provided a valuable first hand education about the dangers of human trafficking in the region and the importance of education in the prevention of modern day slavery.
All that has been captured on camera and will be produced in a form of a documentary, by MTV Exit.
The documentary will be broadcast on September 1st (with reruns on September 2nd, 4th and 29th) and most probably will also be later available on MTV Exit’s VIMEO channel.
