Simple Plan award Canadian high school for fighting against homophobia

For many years now, the Simple Plan Foundation has been working very closely with GRIS Montreal, organisation that helps demystify homosexuality and bisexuality in schools all over the province of Quebec. In their joint effort, the two organizations created a prize“The GRIS-Simple Plan Foundation Prize” – of $2000 – that is being given every year to one chosen high school in Quebec as a reward to students who have taken novel initiatives to fight homophobia.

Today, September 23rd 2015, GRIS Montreal held their annual conference, which was – as usual – also attended by Jeff Stinco from Simple Plan. Jeff was there to hand over the prize to this year’s winners – École Polyvalente Saint-Joseph from Mont-Laurier, which created a great project called “Stop hopophobia” which many local students got involved in.
