It has just been confirmed that Simple Plan will be performing at this year’s Alternative Press Music Awards (also known as APMAs), which will be hosted by Alex and Jack from All Time Low. The awards will take place on July 22nd at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, OH and you can be there as well – tickets go on sale this Friday at 10am EST!
And it seems like Simple Plan will definitely perform some new music at the APMAs! “We’re super excited to be part of the APMAs this year. It’s like the ultimate party with all the bands we care about and the scene that we’re proud to be a part of. We’re also stoked to finally be playing some new material in the U.S. for our fans that have been waiting for so long. It’s gonna be a hell of a night,” said Pierre Bouvier, according to Alternative Press.
And that’s not all! Not only will Simple Plan attend this event and perform at it, the band has also been nominated for the Artist Philanthropic Award for their charitable contribution with the Simple Plan Foundation! The boys are up against Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness (Dear Jack Foundation), Bayside (The Human Rights Campaign), Koji (Doctors Without Borders), Jake Luhrs of August Burns Red (HeartSupport) and Taking Back Sunday (American Cancer Society). Make sure to help Simple Plan win this well-deserved award by voting for them here!
