Simple Plan perform first two acoustic shows in Virginia + meet with Marianas Trench

After many years, on June 12th, Simple Plan returned to the United States, where they started their short promo acoustic mini-tour, during which they’ll perform in the states of Virginia, Tennessee, Florida, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and also in Washington D.C. Yesterday, the four band members [missing Chuck, who as a drummer doesn’t tend to play at his band’s acoustic shows] played the first two acoustic sets.

The first one took place in he early afternoon at the Williamsburg Winery in Virginia, where Simple Plan performed at the Uncorcked and Unplugged event. Besides them, another Canadian band and SP’s friends Marianas Trench were playing at the event too. You may remember Marianas Trench as one of the three opening bands on Simple Plan’s Canadian GYHO tour in 2012. This reunion resulted in the following gorgeous photo of all the band members together:

In the evening, Simple Plan jumped into the car and moved to Richmond, Virginia, where they were scheduled to play at the Kabana Rooftop, at the Sunday Funday event organized by the 103.7 Play radio station. At both Sunday shows, SP’s setlist mostly included their old hits, such as Addicted, Welcome To My Life, I’d Do Anything or Perfect
