Simple Plan continue their involvement with various anti-bullying campaigns through their Simple Plan Foundation by supporting an upcoming documentary film on bullying called “Bullies And Friends”, directed by Cassidy McMillan, by donating their song “I’m Just A Kid”, which is featured in the final version of the film.
“Bullies And Friends” recounts the landmark court case that dealt with the suicide of a 14-year-old girl which has been proved to be caused by bullying. Besides documenting the case, the film also offers various solutions to bullying.
Uptil now, the documentary has already received a number of awards including the Impact Film Award by United Nations UNA, the Best Documentary Film Award and Film Humanitarian Award at the Inanna Awards L.A., Best Doc Audience Choice Award at the LW Film Awards and the Film Foundation Award at the WIF Film Awards.
