After a day off on their current Canadian tour, the guys are back at work: yesterday they stopped for an interview and a little hang-out session with their fans on the Live on Lombard programme on the HOT 103 radio in Winnipeg, Canada, where they also played a show later that day along with opening bands All Time Low, These Kids Wear Crowns and Marianas Trench. Opportunity to sing This Song Saved My Life on stage with Simple Plan on the Canadian tour

Already in the “track by track” video for This Song Saved My Life Chuck mentioned that they would like to invite the fans on the stage for when they sing it live – “Because we’re just the band playing, this is YOUR song.”

This idea was realized for the first time on Simple Plan’s show in Penticton a few days ago, where the guys kicked off their Canadian tour and were accompanied for This Song Saved My Life by the members of local high-school choirs.

Now the fans who are going to the shows in Chicoutimi and Shawinigan have the same opportunity! Through the server evenko.ca Simple Plan announced a contest for 10 spots on the stage (for one winner and nine of his friends), to sing This Song Saved My Life live with Simple Plan. If you want to attend (and are going to the fore-mentioned shows) the only thing you have to do is to record a video of you and your nine friends singing this song and post the link to the YouTube video in the comments under the video on evenko.ca that Simple Plan recorded for this contest. Yesterday, Simple Plan attended the first of the three planned signing sessions in the Pro Hockey Life stores in Canada, where they are promoting their new “Simple Plan” hockey stick (with all the proceeds going to their Simple Plan Foundation). A video capturing the performance of Alex Gaskarth from All Time Low singing Freaking Me Out with Simple Plan live in Vancouver, Canada on February 11th is finally here! As we already know from their tweets, the guys plan to “use” Alex in FMO for the rest of the Canadian tour, so expect more videos of their performance to pop up on YouTube.
